Johnson himself said this morning, if you are going out this weekend stay 2m away from other families... So everyone is allowed out this weekend, Johnson says so. Well you are allowed out every day already.  The only thing I heard about pubs was that they may possibly be allowed to re-open in Ausgust. They are legitimately using the takeout clause. |

They're being idiots. I'm sorry, but I'm not giving businesses and the public carte blanche to behave like dicks and blaming any subsequent jump in infections solely on the govt. People need to act like responsible adults, not kids. No wonder this country is one of the worst affected - higher percentage of thickies and selfish people than any other country I can think of.

The same is true for most of the European countries and even countries like India although Indians are cowards and so have shown relatively better attitude in this case. But at the same time look at people from Korea and Japan. They have shown the true meaning of responsibility, ethics and discipline. Message world over has been clear since two months. Stay at home, wear mask and try to reduce human contact. Arrogant people have chosen not to follow what the experts have said simply because they do not care enough or they follow outdated ideologies like conservatism which is pure evil or far leftism which is mental illness. I have seen that politically neutral people like you & me have shown much more responsibility and consideration for containing the virus either by following advise of experts or by not defending trash who are not following what is expected during this pandemic.

I now personally know someone who died from it. A guy my age. Classmates since 7th grade. Roommates for 3 years. Friends. He died Friday morning. He had contributing risk factors such as diabetes and past cardiac issues but he was otherwise healthy lately. Until he caught this fucking virus.

Weekly shopping report.
Went to Lidl this week. One of the staff was wearing a mask, the rest were not. Insanity.
Lots of people flouting the 2m social distancing.
I saw 6 masks on members of the public out of around 250 people in total. I think that’s even worse than last week!
Well done, Nicola, your recommendation that people mask up in shops is a complete failure. When you’re in charge of a nation of thickies, you don’t recommend things, you ORDER them.
You or Johnson, preferably both, need to get your fingers out about mask wearing.
Grocery report: plenty milk, eggs only available in packs of 15 and no free range at all. So I didn’t bother. Bought 4 cans of Guinness instead of wine.
