Italy daily deaths up again 627 yesterday. Bear in mind they don't include old folk in care homes. Men across all ages have double the death rate of women. Maybe after this all said and done, Italy will catch up to the rest of the civilized world in terms of healthcare and sanitation. Italy is a third world country masquerading as a 1st world nation. Lombardy and Venice have two of the most advanced healthcare systems in the world. They were rapidly overwhelmed. You need to wise up. This thing spreads easily and quickly. It's a killer.

A panel of medical experts on NBC said Italy was slow to react to the growing Coronavirus threat. They have the second oldest population of all countries. And 99 percent of all their deaths had at least one chronic health problem. Are you elderly Ned? Do you have any chronic health problems? Do you live in Italy? It's not about me. It's a global pandemic. People are dying. I got news for you bucko --- people die everyday --- always have --- always will.

With your attitude to this, you and yours will die real soon. You keep listening to NBC, I'll keep conversing with a Nobel Prize winning WHO epidemiologist, and a regional. PHE virology doctor brought out of retirement specifically.

Death toll in Italy --- 4,000 Total population of Italy --- 60 million. Percentage of population killed so far by the Coronavirus --- .006 If my math is correct, that's only 6 out of every 1000 people. You are, and were more likely to die in an automobile accident --- even in Italy. You making a mountain out of a molehill.

You continue to be an arrogant roaster. When it hits where you are it'll go through your community like a dose of salts. That's your lookout now.

But if you are afraid of dying, you better stay out of an automobile. Because you're more likely to die in an automobile accident, than by the Coronavirus. Even in Italy.

Even in Italy. Just do your social distancing innit. If it's an overreaction it's no big deal. If it's the right reaction you'll be a hero. Either way you'll never know, just do it. If you don't do it, and your community becomes the next Bergamo, you'll know you are partly responsible for the catastrophe that unfolds.

I am sheltering in place. With my many chronic health problems I would be dead meat if I contracted this horrible virus. I have no known lung problems, that's good, but a few of my problems are on the list. That's enough to make me concerned. The closest confirmed case here is 90 miles away, but with the lack of testing in this country you never know.
And @ned, I'm with you. movieliker's lack of concern is a big problem in the US. With COVID-19 being 10 times more contagious than any other flu people here need to respect what is being asked of us. movieliker could become the next Typhoid Mary and I sure hope that I don't live near him.

Today we - me and my co-workers - learned that the Merkel-regime is planning a nationwide shutdown. In case of such a lock down, you are not allowed to leave your town or even you house without a valid reason (buying food, seeing a doctor etc. pp.) and you need a pass (Arbeitsbescheinigung) if you want to commute to your work place. If you haven't one you would commit a crime by doing so. Thankfully, my pass came with the postal service today. Then I did my weekend shopping: Security in front of the Lidl store - no toilet paper. And they marked the ground where you have to stand and wait in the line. In Penny they had toilet paper...they didn't even bother to put it into the rack or shelves but left the pallets right in the aisle. So I wanted to hamster a bit (our new volkssport - people's sport) and took two(!) packs - of which one was taken away from me at the counter... At McDonald's you were no longer allowed to sit in the restaurant and I had to fill out a form, before I was allowed to use the touch board to compose my order. The employee came as close as half a meter (roughly two feet), which is not "allowed" by now. 1,5m or roughly one and a half yard. Sounds like your govt is a lot more sensible than our one. Your compatriots will benefit from it by not dying in as great number as they will in the U.K. Believe me.

That's what all the information I see and hear says. Where are you getting your information? The Center for Neurosis, Pessimism and Fatalism? Well you should have absolutely no problem providing a reliable source, then. Please do so.

That doesn’t really provide any evidence that normal flu is deadlier than CV19 for those under 60 or even under 40.

I heard 2 to 1 infected males are more likely to die than infected females.

Just put my weeks shopping list together to pop through my young neighbours' door, that they are doing for me today.
I can't tell you how much I hate doing this ☹️
I'm on the wrong side of 50, and have health issues, but I have NEVER had to rely on people like this before. I'm always the one who helps other people out.
This new normal sucks... FUCK THIS VIRUS! Get tae buggery ya wee swine... Give us our lives back 😠
Sorry, self pity over.
