Spike was given the Charles Oakley treatment by Dolan - difference is - Oak actually played for the team - Spike is just a Super Fan.

Here's the thing, whether you agree with Spike or not, James Dolan is never right about anything. Literally anything.

Seems like a snappy fashionable dresser, no?
Check out the all black below -

Spike's a good fan.
Probably should have kept his mouth shut around Reggie Miller, but other than that, he's fine. He's definitely loyal.
At least he's been saving money not having to buy playoff tickets all these years. 👍

Hope he switched to the Nets to spite Dolan. Is Spike still relevant today?
Not that this means anything - I mean - if he just came out with a controversial award winning movie - do you think he would have gotten this treatment?
Think it's because he's a nobody now?
FYI - I don't know if he's a nobody or not - I just am not aware of anything he's done since the 90s as well as the Jordan commercials.

Didn't like BlacKkKlansman?

He won an award for his latest 'controversial' movie last year. Is that not recent enough?

Aren't all of us fans entitled? We should be, in a way. No sports without us. But we boo players for not doing acts that are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay beyond our abilities. I don't know what happened with Spike (don't really care), but he stuck by this shipwreck of a team.

I kind of live under a rock and in my own little world.

Didn't like BlacKkKlansman? Was that the movie with Dicaprio and Jamie Foxx?

No doubt we do. Most fans shell out a ghastly sum of money on sports. Tickets, merchandise, sports programming (you should see my DirecTV bill). Money that could be spent better. So I think I have a right so scream "You asshole! How couldn't you hit that 101 mph fastball?'

I'm no Spike Lee fan. I think he's an overrated douchebag who finds racism in everything and promotes it. That said, he won an Oscar last year so yeah, I'd say he's still relevant.

Or did it win because it's Spike Lee?
Like you know how old sports stars or injured sports stars get voted to All-Star games based on their past history as opposed to their present work?
Was this the case here?

A little bit of both. He's been around for a long time and has never won and there were other years when people thought he should have. But it was also a pretty solid movie. It's very Spike Lee-ish in its content, but I also thought it was a great piece of fun genre entertainment. It's kind of a hard movie not to like. I expected a hard drama, but it's kind of a weird and fun buddy cop movie.
