To me, these are the worst of the main saga entires. I don't think there are any redeeming qualities in either one.
Which is better in your opinion, and why?

I do like Clones, it's rough and irritating and gets everywhere. But (or because of this) it is still an imaginative film and piece of authorship in a business plagued by formulaic junk food for the dumb masses. The core merits are: - outstanding art design and world building - original and substantial storytelling (of a republic being subverted and split in parts (mirrored by the fall of Anakin to the dark side) and beginning of the clone wars [triggering a great show too]) - beautiful soundtrack and awesome sound design - one of the few SW films you can watch with women without coming off as a manchild, and some of the best one liners in the saga - functions perfectly as coherent middle chapter/Act B of a trilogy developing the central conflicts and setting up the ending/downfall of III. "Rise of Skywalker" on the the other side is formulaic junk food lacking vision or imagination (even the makers seem to agree on this) - still more entertaining than Force Awakens IMO, but it fails as an proper ending to the sequels, and even worse as an end to the saga by diminishing the previous films (TLJ, OT & PT).

Mr Akbar you are approaching the PT all wrong if you think this.
AOTC is hilarious! It's by far the funniest Star Wars film out there and I've probably watched it more than any other over the past few years. The acting is incredible. It's got lightsaber Yoda. The secret cloning facility no one's visited in years! Boba fett's dad's head. Death sticks. The Dexter's Diner scene! Not to mention "I hate Sand" and Padme's hilarious recovery...
What more do you want?

I was actually gonna tag you here, as I know you're a big fan of AotC, not to be a dick, but to get an advocate for the movie in this thread. I have really grown to enjoy the other two prequels, despite what I see as major flaws, but I just cannot into AotC no matter how hard I try.

The only thing the DT had going for it the whole time was the original cast and John Williams. It isn't better than anything. Kids in the 70's and 80's made better Star Wars stories with their figurines than anything Disney has done. No contest. Attack of the Clones is superior.

I can't believe that THIS is being debated... It's obviously "Attack of the Clones"... Why?...
Because Yoda IS "Da Man"...
Yoda's scenes in the movie, all by themselves, are far better that the sequel trilogy combined.
The moment when Yoda uses the force to lift his lightsaber off of his belt and flies it into his hand is priceless.
Yo-Da Man!

I'll never forget the audience reaction to Yoda wielding his lightsaber. It was a awesome experience. Haven't experienced that again since Endgame.

AotC by far. I’ve come around to really enjoying it.
Hopefully I’ll never have to watch TRoS again.

Attack of the Clones. It gave us this meme: It gave us the line about sand being coarse and rough and irritating. It has Samuel L Jackson using a purple lightsaber. It gave us seismic charges and that awesome sound Christopher Lee as Count Dooku That's five reasons. I'm sure I could find more.

Attack of the Clones is more entertaining but it would have been a lot better if they’d kept Jake Lloyd as Anakin.

Attack of the Clones is more entertaining but it would have been a lot better if they’d kept Jake Lloyd as Anakin. Lloyd would have been around 12 at the time of production on Episode 2, which means Anakin would have been that age then... The trilogy really didn't have time to have the character be that young for yet another movie (he shouldn't have been so young in Episode 1). The story needed to move on to Anakin/Padme and Anakin/Obi-Wan. As-is, the latter didn't get as much time as they should have. Also Anakin and Owen should have had more time together in the PT. They barely were around each other in the PT, but Owen talks about Anakin in Episode 4 like he knew him closely...
