Sorry nuts, but I'm driving the college basketball truck tonight as we've got quite the rare occurrence in the nation's smallest state.
Both Providence and URI are at home tonight for nationally televised huge conference games, something that doesn't happen all that often.
Providence tries to maintain it's hot streak and keep tournament momentum flowing as they host Xavier, a team that soundly beat the Friars a few weeks ago.
And Rhode Island is at home in a very tough, yet kind of must-win game against Dayton. The Rams have been floundering lately, and may have put themselves out of the Big Dance. A win against an excellent team like Dayton, while a tall order, could seal the deal for the Rams.
I'm sure there are other meaningful games on the docket tonight, but why anyone would care about them is beyond me. 🤔

So far, so good for the Friars as they lead Xavier by 15 with about 6 minutes before halftime.
They're partying at the Dunkin Donuts Center......somebody grab me a glazed!

Depending on what they do in the Big East tournament, there may be some very unhappy 1 or 2 seed in the second round of the tourney.

how far is univ. of rhode island from pc? 20, 30 minutes. Kingston, RI is in the middle of the state, Providence up near the top. Of course, in Rhode Island all of the towns are like within 20 minutes of each other. |
