The early 80's setting could be amusing, but I was not sold on the first WW. I found it dull, but am not a DC or Marvel fanboy, so not that excited if I miss it. I would rather see Top Gun: Maverick, which is supposed to open a few weeks after WW84'.

Just saw it… wasnt as good as I had hoped, I liked the first one much better, but Gal Gadot has such an amazing on screen presence that I am very forgiving and am able to look past all the sapy kytch and sentimental melodrama. Kirsten Wiig is also awesome in everything, so that was a plus. The rest? Meh.
But it was nice to watch Gal Gadot running around looking determined again. That girl really does it for me.

Just saw it… wasnt as good as I had hoped, I liked the first one much better, but Gal Gadot has such an amazing on screen presence that I am very forgiving and am able to look past all the sapy kytch and sentimental melodrama. I wasn't overly fond of the first one, but this one looks more like a parody and the 1984 subtitle gives that away right off the bat. It looks far too long as well and it will start to bore me for this type of film.
I am on a Michael J. Fox thing at the moment. Have recently seen The Hard Way - 91', For Love Or Money - 93' aka The Concierge' in Oz and Greedy -94'. Love Or Money was pretty meh, but I loved THW and Greedy was a well played out black comedy.

yes but I have to drive out of state usualy, no conema opened in NYC yet. Yes the movie was kinda long and for sure too sentimental /boardering on parody but I just enjoy Gal Gadot so much that I really didnt mind at all. |
