RIP.
I gotta admit, like others said, because of The Exorcist, I always thought he was much older. Enjoyed him in everything I saw that he worked on, but I'll always think of him as Father Merren.

I recently caught The Virgin Spring in which he was incredible. His most iconic role however is, was, and ever shall be Father Merrin in The Exorcist.

Bergman's Muse - there's no higher compliment really. Watched Hour of the Wolf last night and once again he gives his all for his director. What a filmic legacy he has left us.
