Kind of funny you always bring up the "toxic" SW fans yet you are one of the most toxic fans on this entire board, I meant what sort of brainless idiot thinks constantly trying to simply aggravate others is healthy for the fandom?
Grow up dear boy just grow up, then maybe we can have a more stimulating environment for debate around these parts, and if not you shall continue to be mocked for that pea brain of yours.

This bogus argument always sites examples... pretends those examples represent all SW female characters... pretends all SW fans have that sentiment... and ignores examples of SW female characters who are generally liked and generally uncriticized. Your Jedi mind trick isn’t working.

Your Jedi mind trick isn’t working. Because it only works on the weak minded, not by the weak minded:p.

I read an article about the recent movies and Carrie Fisher's role. It was supposed to be a well-intentioned article highlighting how times have changed and female leads are now acceptable. But the article very mistakenly said Carrie Fisher was relegated to being a "damsel in distress" and had much less screen time than her male counterparts. Which obviously is incorrect on both accounts. She stood up to Darth Vader and told him she wasn't taking his crap. She insulted Tarkin. She told Luke and Han she was in charge. She shot Stormtroopers. She was in the whole movie from start to finish, and part of every major plot line. Same goes for the whole Original Trilogy. Had someone read the article without seeing the original movies, they might actually believe what the article said, that she was just a helpless princess who needed to be saved by the male heroes, and that she barely had any screen time. Which, is just a lie to stir the pot.
There isn't "Toxic fan reaction to women in Star Wars". There is a rational reaction to outright lying articles and calling people sexist. Sure, there were clearly a lack of women in the movie. For the most part it was the Imperial army vs the Rebel army. Armies have a lot of guys in them. Sorry, it's true.

I think some people are way to obsessed about Star Wars.
