I have actual facts given i keep track of this info. but to give you my average movies seen per week in the following years...
2012 = 4.57
2013 = 4.47
2014 = 6.44
2015 = 5.77
2016 = 5.24
so as you can see... i typically average 5+ movies a week over those full 5 years of time as it's about 5.3 movies a week. even on the weak years i was still doing a consistent 4+ movies a week for the average.
NOTE: that counts ALL movies i see which means it's movies i see for the first time and re-watches of movies i have seen before. the majority, at the least, will be re-watches as i got percentages on that stuff to (for the years above) but i won't list it for now.
p.s. but if i just look at very recently, say April 20th to date... i have only seen two movies which is basically a bit over 2 weeks now.
side note: after seeing peoples claims in this thread with those really high numbers (i.e. the 30+ movies per week claims) i personally don't really think they are seeing that many movies especially over many years time frame as even 30 movies a week that's averaging at least 4+ movies PER DAY and i can't imagine that would be easy to sustain for years which means i would naturally call BS for the easy majority of people claiming this (even though it could be possible but seems quite unlikely for a high percentage of people out there). even half of that figure (i.e. 2 per day (14 per week) on average for years) would not be easy. or look at it this way... just say someone did 4 movies a day with say a ball park of 2 hours a movie that's roughly 8 hours of your time (likely at least 6hours+ given it's unlikely you would go below 1.5hours per movie on an average over a wide range of movies) which is a rather large portion of ones day and if someone sleeps say 8 hours a day (or so) that does not leave all that much time for doing much else. so you can see this would not be anywhere near easy to sustain for a long period of time.

I normally watch about three or four a week i would say, but many are rewatches. I probsbly don't see more than one or two new films in a month.

It appears we are pretty much on the same page here (i.e. more re-watches than movies you see for the first time in general) but i probably see a bit more movies i have not seen before than you do if what you said is a rough ball park figure. 2012... -Total Films = 239 films -First Viewings = 119 films (49.8%) -Re-watches = 120 films (50.2%) -Yearly Average (films per week) = 4.57 2013... -Total Films = 233 films -First Viewings = 107 films (45.9%) -Re-watches = 126 films (54.1%) -Yearly Average (films per week) = 4.47 2014... -Total Films = 336 films -First Viewings = 145 films (43.2%) -Re-watches = 191 films (56.8%) -Yearly Average (films per week) = 6.44 2015... -Total Films = 301 films -First Viewings = 105 films (34.9%) -Re-watches = 196 films (65.1%) -Yearly Average (films per week) = 5.77 2016... -Total Films = 274 films -First Viewings = 89 films (32.5%) -Re-watches = 185 films (67.5%) -Yearly Average (films per week) = 5.24 so as you can see every single year since i been keeping track (Dec 27th 2011 to date(basically 2012 to date)) i have re-watched more movies than movies i have seen for the first time with 2012 being almost exactly the same with literally one movie being the difference to favor re-watches and the percentages have been increasing year-after-year, so far, since in favor of re-watches. but it's not surprising because i feel i have largely exhausted seeing all of the higher quality movies from the past already (i.e. as in movies i would personally score a 7 or higher) as while i would not be surprised if there are still some movies i would score a 7/10 from the past, it won't be easy to find them. i would imagine finding 9/10's and 10/10's are pretty much non-existent for me from the past with even 8/10's being quite unlikely as 7/10's are hard enough to come by. for the record.. only 198 movies managed to score a 7/10 or higher from me out of the 2,100+ total movies i have seen. |

Varies quite a bit. Last month I watched a total of 7 movies. I wouldn't class that as A LOT, but it's certainly not bad by my standards either. Five of those were re-watches, however.
I tend to watch a much higher proportion of films in October though (all horror).
