With cinemas closed/closing and movies postponed, let's make a list of our most anticipated movies of the year so that we can keep a list of which movies we can be excited for when cinemas open again and whole situation hopefully improves sometime in the future. Since the release date for pretty much every movie is up in the air at this point, feel free to list movies that were supposed to release in 2020 but that have been postponed (F9, Nightmare Alley etc.) as well. Here's a link to a Letterboxd list with my anticipated movies: letterboxd.com/kevinwriter/list/most-anticipated-movies-of-2020-by-release/A top 10 + honorable mentions for people who don't want to go through the entire list: 1. Dune (Denis Villeneuve) 2. Tenet (Christopher Nolan) 3. Last Night in Soho (Edgar Wright) 4. Nightmare Alley (Guillermo del Toro) 5. The French Dispatch (Wes Anderson) 6. Da 5 Bloods (Spike Lee) 7. I'm Thinking of Ending Things (Charlie Kaufman) 8. Minari (Lee Isaac Chung) 9. Red, White And Water (Lila Neugebauer) 10. Annette (Leos Carax) HM: No Time To Die, The Card Counter, The Green Knight, Mank, After Yang, On The Rocks, Palm Springs, Nomadland, Never Rarely Sometimes Always, The Devil All The Time, Promising Young Woman, Swallow, Last and First Men, Star Blazers, The Last Planet, Next Goal Wins, Soul, The Last Duel, Rebecca, The Invisible Man, Titane, Saint Maud, First Cow, Memoria, Macbeth, West Side Story, Untitled Dee Rees Horror Project, Possessor, Hillbilly Elegy, Emma, Onward, Antebellum

Some of the big ones for me, a lot of these probably would have only made it to festivals where I am
When the Waves are Gone [Lav Diaz, Philippines] Days [Tsai Ming-liang, Taiwan] Eureka [Lisandro Alonso, Argentina] Memoria [Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Thailand] Prisoners of Ghostland [Sion Sono, Japan] First Cow [Kelly Reichardt, USA] The Woman Who Ran [Hong Sang-soo, South Korea]
And these may not have even made it by 2020
Blossoms [Wong Kar-wai, Hong Kong] Shulan River [Hou Hsiao-hsien, Taiwan]
