It really hurt home that these two women despite being tough broads and legends in their prime at the end where nothing more than lonely and sad women. Some of the sadder scenes where Crawford's final scene with one of her twin daughters were she reveals she's found out about the Mommie Dearest book, the hallucination scene where she buries the hatchet with Bette and the final scene where it's the first day on Baby Jane where they say they want to be friends.
All in all a great show I think I might watch the second series.

I couldn't agree more. That episode left me feeling more than sad, esp thinking about Crawford's end. Her humiliations when working on Trog should not have happened to a dog. At least Davis finished with a few quality tv movies.

At least Crawford didn't live to see Mommie Dearest although this episode makes it out she knew about it where as Bette lived to see the book her daughter wrote about her.

Crawford was a flawed, insecure, vulnerable woman whose last days were very sad. I think this was a wonderful series, and this last episode very poignant.

Bette was just as flawed, insecure and vulnerable as well. Bette actually was alive when her daughter wrote that book that bashed her at least Joan had passed on by the time of Mommie Dearest. I actually think had they been in a business where not everybody wants to be number 1 they would have been friends with the odd falling out every once in a while.

I definitely would. Between this and American Crime Story, Ryan Murphy is on a roll. Oddly I never cared for American Horror Story.
