... piling movies on top of each other in theaters. Some of the box office "dead months" likely won't be so dead this year (and next year, too).

I wonder if this will have any affect on the lower profile Oscar bait that usually comes out later in the year. It will be interesting to see how this affects the Oscar noms next year.

It’ll be interesting to see how it goes. People may still not be comfortable sitting in a theatre room with other people. If people are out of work for too long they won’t have the disposable income to watch every movie they want either.

The lockdown will cause many to greatly reduce theater-going and to watch more streaming services. And that habit will continue after things clear up.

So many bad movies released in such a short time. It'll be like cultural diarrhea.

I don't think there were many film productions or releases postponed anyway.

Cosidering that most studios are setting up their own streaming services only few of the now postponed movies will end up at Netflix. It remains to be seen whether people will be willing to pay for several streaming services.

Will there be a shitty Netflix Coronavirus movie released to capitalize on the fear and tension? Perhaps starring Nicholas Cage?

Yeah, it'd be interesting to see which ones do alright and which others flop instead.
