I saw something on, I forgot where, 12up maybe(?), and they suggested that MLB Network and the regional baseball stations should just show random games from random seasons. For instance, SNY always shows the same handful of Mets game from years past - the 2006 division clinching game, Mike Piazza's post- 9/11 homerun (which still gives me goosegumps to this day), Johan's "no hitter," but instead they just pick some random 1995 game started by Pete Harnisch. The idea being that you wouldn't know what happened in that game so it can kind of simulate watching a normal regular season game, the outcome of which you obviously wouldn't know. I'm on board with that. Give me some Eric Valent pinch hit appearances, an Alex Ochoa sighting, a Kevin Elster walk off.
