Predator 2 Indiana Jones: Temple of Doom Back to Future 2 Rambo 2 Die Hard 2 Ghostbusters II Batman Returns Jurassic Park: The Lost World Rocky II
All of these sequels are rated much worser on imdb and metacritic compared to their originals. They are still considered good movies rather than outright terrible sequels such as Jaws 2 or Independence Day Resurgence.
So the question is NOT Whats the best movie from this list but which of these sequels is the most unappreciated and gets the most unjust hate.

Batman Returns out of these. Godfather 3 is also a good choice

Temple of Doom.
Excellent movie, better than The Last Crusade.
Batman Returns is good too, though I’m not sure it’s better than the ’89 flick.

Godfather 3 is also a good choice Wanted it to be a direct sequel to the first movie.

Temple of Doom. Excellent movie, better than The Last Crusade. Batman Returns is good too, though I’m not sure it’s better than the ’89 flick. I do prefer ToD over TLC. I chose Returns as a option because like all of the movies on the list, the majority opinion is that the sequel is a step down from the original. This separates them from sequels where the general opinion is that they are atleast as good if not better than the original such as Godfather II, Spider-Man 2 or The Dark Knight.

Back to the Future 2. I don't think Batman Returns is underrated, it seems to get the respect it's due.

It's hard to say. None of them were truly financial failures, and the only ones that were truly critical failures were the PREDATOR and RAMBO sequels... which I can't disagree with. I hate them both. Wanted it to be a direct sequel to the first movie. But you included JURASSIC WORLD in the poll. Oh... Did you mean THE LOST WORLD: JURASSIC PARK?

Jurassic World. I don't think a lot of people realized it was a satire.

Predator 2...although it does seem like people are appreciating it more lately. Danny Glover is underrated in general imo. He made some solid flicks in the 80s.
