Casablanca my #2 all time, masterpiece.
Citizen Kane, my #3, remains the most remarkable tour de force of the medium. What I've loved lately is admiring the Mercury players' performances, stage & radio actors really making their mark on-screen. The film is like a science project, & Welles just kept smashing doors down, literally, to bring the magic.
Pinocchio, #18 for me, is flawless. Disney at its creative & wonderous apex. So much depth & imagination, from the art design through the slew of memorable characters & sequences.

Pinocchio Citizen Kane Fantasia HM - Casablanca I so often take these earlier decades for granted, yet here we are with HM's for Casablanca after a trio like that. Talk about bedrock for a medium.

To all the people thinking of voting Citizen Kane - STOP IT! You know you didn't really enjoy it.

Casablanca - My 1 or 1A of all time, along with Jaws The Big Sleep - Bogie at his hard-boiled best and Bacall at her most sultry. Key Largo - Bogie & Bacall's best; their chemistry just explodes from the screen

So many great ones but here are mine from the list:
The Big Sleep It’s a Wonderful Life Rope
The only one I’m not crazy about is Citizen Kane. Technically it’s a great film but I’ve never found it very compelling personally.

Glad to see Key Largo on the list, Edward G Robinson owned it.

I've never seen Rope but my votes are Casablanca, Citizen Kane and Fantasia.

It's a Wonderful Life is my all-time no. 1 and Casablanca is high on my list too. I picked Citizen Kane in third place although on another day I could have gone with Key Largo or The Philadelphia Story.

Big fan of them all - though I can live without repeat viewings of Fantasia.
