There's some I simply didn't initially 'get' like The Big Lebowski. There's others like Pirates of the Caribbean 2 & 3 I wanted no part of at first... they looked like messes. They're actually pretty fun all things considered esp part 2. Part 3's storylines I wrapped my head around them quicker than I thought - basically everyone is out for themselves.

Master and Commander went from a film that I thought it was "meh" to one of my favorite films.

I had similar experiences as others here with Taxi Driver, Pulp Fiction, and Blade Runner.

The Zack Snyder thread is making me think of Sucker Punch.
The movie literally made me furious until I decided that I was never supposed to follow the story, only the vignettes which were amazing. Made for a great anthology movie.

Pretty much any Nolan film. I dont know why but his films get better and better on repeat viewings.
