I think someone did this on the Apocalypse message board way way back. I myself would probably keep Magneto&the Brotherhood as the initial villains then build up to big bads like Apocalypse or Sinister. I'd probably do eight-nine films. It would incorporate the Savage Land, Genosha, and conflicts between all the major team-ups like Hellfire Club, Friends of Humanity, Mutant Liberation Force, and yes they'd eventually journey into outer space.

I don't think characters like Apocalypse need that much build-up. Apocalypse isn't much of a big bad for the X-Men. He was meant to be a Magneto-level villian for the original X-Factor, while Sinister was meant to be the Magneto for the main team.

No more Brian Singer. No people with metal claws. Costumes right out of the comic books. Characters that actually act like their comic book counterparts. Stories that faithfully follow their comic book counterparts, at least as closely as a movie can. No more recycled nonsense from the old films. You know, MCU-styled X-Men films.

I would give it a more Star Wars feel when it comes to mutants. You don't get that alien feel because most of the mutants look like regular people. They went the opposite (I guess because of budget) with making the more physical unpowered mutants the rarity. The physical unpowered mutants where the norm.
I'd also get away from the Magneto-type villains. They're either the Magneto on the human side or another variation of Magneto on the mutant side in the movies we got.

Remember X1, Senator Kelly, the senator that wanted to pass bill to lock up mutants using actual evidence to proof mutants can be dangerous X2, William Stryker, the militant that wanted to use a hitler styled plan to cause genocide of the mutant race. You can add magneto that fought him with his own games. X3, the government forcing cure on mutants. I think that civil war was more believable than captain america 3. DOFP, killer sentinel robots, scary, ruthless and unstoppable. something ultron should have been. First Class, Shaw, who wanted to use politics to control the world and preserve the mutant race not to mention influence USA/USSR rivalry to serve his own personal agenda Maybe MCU can take a cue from the villains in x-men instead of turning their villains into non threatening stand up comedians. An MCU styled version of x-men will be insult to X-Men. now that I think about it. Apocalypse was an MCU styled movie and it bombed In every way. If a person loves to watch a good film, you will remember this villains. if you want to watch a film where you are asked to leave your brain at the door aka the mcu films, you would forget about these villains.

Star Trek will be more fitting since the philosophy of star trek is closer to x-men than star wars. if fox does spin offs like star jammers than I could see star wars. I will rather see magneto stay but have his story arc move on from xavier and raven. let the x-men movie introduce Wanda and Polaris along with pietro and a hint of the House of M. One of the best parts of x-men is their villains and magneto has been overplayed. I call it singer's greatest flaw. I think its time we see The Maurders, friends of humanity, Sinister and Cassandra Nova. I also want Cyclops, Fox is clearly dumb about this character. We need to remind them of how awesome Cyke is. Cyclops, for the last 13 years has been one of the best and most intriguing heroes in comics. We need more of film. A full reboot will be very nice.

The world of mutants should look like the cantina scene. It should embrace the weird. It should make you believe in the weird and accept it. The movies as is make you think the weird shouldn't be there (that's another of Singer's flaws). I want this: They think of them as costumes when they are school uniforms. Have a new student (maybe the movie's main lead) go in for fitting and explain that the uniform goes with his/her powers. That's why everyone gets a different one.

You can't remember any because you're more impressed by simplistic superficial features like colourful visuals, CGI explosions, lame overkill humour, post credit scenes and the perception of a Marvel crossover Universe where you fanboy out if any easter egg is hinted. X-Men 2, First Class and DOFP deliver more thematic value, depth and story than all of the MCU combined. But because they aren't as flash and kid friendly, they aren't recognised by people like you - the brainwashed MCU sheeple.

I don't remember any stories that the MCU followed faithfully and characters like Tony and Steve are somewhat different from their comic counterparts according to people over at Marvel. They have always been a mash of multiple stories and/or original ideas like the X-Men films. Which isn't surprising since Kevin Feige's career started with the X-Men films. I can't blame both franchises for making massive changes since some of the stuff in the comics sucked like the First Class era of the X-Men.
As for recycling stuff, that is also an MCU thing. Remember Age of Ultron?

He also appreciates that the MCU isn't ashamed of itself the way the Fox X-Men movies are. X2 is just a rehash of X1, First Class had some good moments but didn't go far enough, and DOFP was overrated. It just got good ratings for the silly fairytale ending it gave the original cast. The MCU gives us stuff like how not every German in WWII was a baby eating lunatic. X-Men makes all Germans into villains with no depth whatsoever. And it thinks exploiting the Holocaust is somehow a good and deep thing to do rather than an utterly cheap and lazy thing to do. The MCU hasn't brainwashed anyone, it's just making people realize there's no shame in enjoying a CBM that isn't ashamed of itself. And that is what FoX-Men fans simply cannot allow.

Magneto is the only memorable villain in the entire Fox-Men series, but that's only because every single film in the franchise insists on shoving him down our throats. Senator Kelly a memorable villain? Wow, Fox-Men fans are delusional. If anything, the character was an easily disposed of chump. If Fox was in charge of making the MCU, only Tony Stark would ever get significant screen time while Steve Rogers would get the Cyclops treatment of being someone for Tony to belittle and one-up before being disposed of as soon as they can get rid of him. And no one would like anything like their comic book counterparts, because no way would Fox allow Captain America to wear his iconic costume. Tom Cruise would have been given the role of Stark and his alternations to the suit would have been implemented, ruining the series. The villains would be the stars of the films and would be given multi-film contracts and would continue to overshadow the good guys in each film. Seriously, screw the Fox-Men films. They suck,

And many people do believe that Loki overshadows Thor, who has a multi-film contract, and Marvel admitted that they wanted him as a Magneto-type villian...which he is. I could go on and on.

Good thing Cruise did turn them down, his Diva antics would've derailed the entire MCU. Loki is one of the classic Marvel villains, so we can give them this one indulgence in return for actually giving us good heroes.

That's why I mentioned the Cruise. Besides, he actually did have some interest in the role, but the changes he wanted to implement were too out there, and Marvel ultimatley turned him down. And yet Thor is still the star of the films he's named for, because Marvel has the self-discipline to keep it that way. I'm the one who could go on and on.
