As long as they don't go the route of all men are evil then we should be okay. It sounds more like it's not that they won't have men on the team, they just can't. Women are usually the better heroes for horror movies anyway.

If that lineup is accurate (grain of salt given it's McGloin again) then they have nothing to worry about.

Dipshits tried to boycott Captain Marvel and it still made a billion dollars. Good luck rooting against this one.

Dipshits tried to boycott Captain Marvel and it still made a billion dollars. Good luck rooting against this one. I’m not rooting against it. I don’t care if it succeeds financially. I don’t mind a few female superheroes and I especially like She-Hulk but they’re wasting so many existing MCU characters who they could have thrown into this instead of an all-female team. And CM may have made money but be honest, it sucked.

Well if they wanted to have an all-female movie, at least this plot makes sense. As long as they concentrate on making a good story instead of making a statement then this movie can be extremely big.
The only thing I'm worried about is whether the MCU is willing to make their female heroes undergo serious trials and tribulations or if we'll end up with a bunch of Mary Sues.

the first film was really bad, worse than dark phoenix.
the only reason the movie did so well was because of the Disney machine and bias critics.
where can mcu go from here?

Would it be a team made up of pre-existing characters or new ones?

Any team with Thor, Scarlet Witch and Captain Marvel on it is already a bunch of "Mary Sues." I think as long as they don't go political with it, and make the action a spectacle, then we'll be okay. With this type of story the struggle might be a race against time. And maybe each other. Maybe there might be a hint at Civil War 2 in this? Wasn't Captain Marvel in the Stark role in that story? She already has that "I'm always right" attitude.

Would it be a team made up of pre-existing characters or new ones? Wont it cause more mcu backlash relying on crossovers than an actual story. part of the mcu problem and the mcu hatred is because the mcu does not seem to care about telling a story. they sell their movies on their connected universe which makes their world feel smaller and it gets boring. futhermore, it does feel like an afterthought now when films like Joker is out there without needing Batman in it to work. Also is it me or is captain marvel, a series that is getting too desperate?

DCEU is the one that struggles telling a story, especially when they start doing crossover stories.

Thor, well, male Thor wasn't a mary sue (or Gary Stu) but Valkyrie seemed like she would have been had she been a more major character. Not sure what direction they'll take female Thor but there's a good chance they'll go the Mary Sue route as well. Basically, the MCU just needs to make sure they don't handle the female characters with kid-gloves. As long as they allow the female characters to go through the same degree of challenges and hurts as their male counterparts and get called out and face consequences of their actions just like their male costars then they should be good.

DCEU is the one that struggles telling a story, especially when they start doing crossover stories. DC already had classic superman and batman films. they don't need a connected universe. never did. man of steel was very stand alone. the connected universe thing is a film scam. DC has moved on, Joker and the new batman movie is proof. shy, even Wonder Woman 2 is not pretending to be part of some connected universe. the mcu connected universe stuff is a sham that has gotten old. mcu fans tried to hype spiderman coming to the MCU. wasn't that a waste? when you think MCU spiderman is very bad to the sam raimi stand alone movies. X-Men, will fair worse. when you think films like Logan and X2 were very much stand alone. the director of logan said logan can be seen as a film in an alternate universe and unlike DOFP, X2 never connected to any prequels and even that was still self contained. MCU should stop the crossovers. the more they make them the weaker their movies are. i also think it plays into a poor intelligent crowd. it is sending the message that all that matters are crossovers not actual story. what a drag. its not cinema as scorsese would say. for captain brie, its desperate.

The thing with Logan as great as it is it needs the prior movies to truly work, if Logan was the first X-Men film we ever saw a lot of the emotional impact and weight of the movie fails to fully land, same with DOFP, and X2 isn't stand alone it's a direct sequel and the best sequel to any X-Men film in the series because it does carry on where the last one left off, where characters are in X2 is due to the events of X1.
Also you talking about poor intelligence is like a poor star discussing chastity, it's laughable and hypocritical, you're an idiot just deal with it princess.
