I must confess that back when I saw the Very First Trailer for the First "UNDERWORLD" Movie, I really wasn't sure that Kate Beckinsale would be any good in an Action Movie Type Role and now all of these years later.....Man, I was totally wrong!
She is Freaking Awesome in any Action Movie Role that she is given.

I liked her in Van Helsing. Good actress.
Haven't seen Underworld since it came out--good grief, almost 20 years ago.

I agree she's decent enough in random action movies but the main problem is those action movies she's been in are forgettable.
p.s. hell, there is only one movie straight up that she appeared in worth re-watching for me which is The Aviator (2004).

She's really better than given credit for and I blame the Underworld movies for that. For every good movie she's in like The Aviator or Love & Friendship, there's like four bad ones.

SandmanYeah, I did like Vera's role in that movie as it was one of the better roles for her. but the overall movie itself is average/forgettable. because, like I mentioned before, while there is more movies I mildly like that Vera appeared in, there are pretty much only five movies she appeared in that stand out for me, which are... Up in the Air/Source Code/Running Scared/The Departed/At Middleton. like when I re-watch a movie with Vera Farmiga, it's usually going to be one of those five even though I do re-watch some others here and there to.

If you don't mind me asking you though, Did you ever see any of the "UNDERWORLD" Sequels ?

I enjoyed the first 'Underworld' movie but the sequels not so much.
The one I like is 'Whiteout' (2009). The atmosphere, the snowy setting, the stylised visuals. Director Dominic Sena is a favourite of mine. I also enjoy his thrillers 'Kalifornia' (1993) and 'Swordfish' (2001).

Me and Kate have been friends for a long time. This I can tell you. As good as she looks on screen she looks even better in real life!

I liked the first two Underworld movies. I thought she was fine in them.Never made it past them. Shocked to see there were 2 with her after the 1 without her. Never saw her in much else. She's sexy as shit, which never hurts.
