For my money, I’m gonna go ahead and say yes. They’ve been struggling for the past several years, but with the current state of the world, it seems like things will only get worse from here.

Streaming is a fad that will go away after a few years. A lot of people don’t really like it. If streaming wants to be around then they just need to show smaller budget movies.

No, as long as people want to go to movie theaters they'll be there.

As a whole, no. Familiar brands like AMC or Regal may survive. But I do believe the smaller ones will close down.

I hope not, despite the fact I often think they deserve to. At least the chains. But no, going to a movie theater is too communal and social an experience, not to mention the screens.

No, but sooner or later (probably the former) the theaters will only have tentpole films, the rest will go straight to streaming services.

No.
it seems people in general like the experience with their friends etc. for that reason alone I don't see them completely dying for the foreseeable future.

Movie studios tend to make more money through ticket sales per person rather than direct-to-streaming. So, I don't think movie theaters are going to die out.

Avengers: Endgame, Lion King, Rise of Skywalker, Frozen 2, Joker, Captain Marvel, and Toy Story 4 all made over a billion dollars, so I highly doubt it

In American theaters perhaps, worldwide however theaters (particularly China) are becoming an increasing market. 9 of the 50 highest grossing movies of all time were from 2019 (more than any other year on the list). When adjusted for inflation "Avengers: endgame" is the 5th highest grossing movie. I think theaters are doing just fine.
