They are 2 types:
Type 1 are bunch of argumentative idiots looking for reasons to complain about every thing. Type 2: purely self-absorbed adults seeking pleasureable experiences.
Both are completely out of touch with theirselves, each other and their overrall purpose in history.

That's what older people said about 80's and 90's kids, hippies, kids in the 1950's, etc. And in a sense, each younger generation were more self absorbed. We've now reached the peak of where they are incapable of becoming responsible adults.

People used to say stuff like this back in the 19th century and before that.
Why not try saying something a bit more original ?

I myself was #2 for a good portion of my twenties so I’m in no position to point fingers, and I regularly see #1 in all age groups.

The problem with our youth is corporate marketing made them believe their opinion has the same value as an adult, it doesn't. Kids don't need a right to privacy, their opinions shouldn't be given any weight, and they should shut up and listen when grownups are talking. Young people haven't screwed up culture, old people did that by taking the stance that anything goes if it moves the stock price or makes a profit.

I don't trust anyone over 30.
If I want to look at this stuff based on age... someone who's older is generally wiser.
I definitely would not want someone around 30 and younger running things as a general rule as they are too immature etc and generally will make worse decisions than someone who's a bit older and has more life experience etc. it's just the way it is.
also, the older generations seem to be more religious than these younger generations which is another reason why I would favor the older generations as they generally have a more solid moral foundation based around Christianity unlike these younger/godless generations who pretty much make up morality as they go along.
p.s. "there been such a strong argument for the need of Christianity, for men are now discovering that their misery and their woes, their wars and their revolutions increase in direct ratio and proportion to the neglect of Christianity. Evil is self-defeating; good alone is self-preserving." - Fulton J Sheen (1895-1979)

I almost agree but then I remember my 23 year old niece who has two jobs and wants to become a politican to help people.
It's easy to lump them all in one pile, but like everything, there are exceptions.

Why do you hate money so much? Why do you deflect? I did not. You expressed contempt for materialism in your post more than the actual topic and did not connect the topic together.

I feel great, but only tell you this to establish that I'm no kid. - This "generation," of 20-30 year old's hasn't "ruined the world." With few exceptions, they haven't moved in to positions of leadership, yet. That's why they're "out of touch with their ... "overrall" history." - How can ( any generation) be: " purely self-absorbed adults seeking pleasurable experiences," AND ".. .completely out of touch with "theirselves, (and) each other." ?? - As for "looking for reasons to complain about every thing," you seem to have found a treasure trove, on that front.

I am not 30 but I think it's unfair to blame them for the problems today. You could argue the modern problems started with the so-called Greatest Generation--they created the world of today. I've seen speeches from the 1960s where people say the world went sucky in the 1920s. Then again, the Five Ages of Man, the ancient mythology thing, said the first age was Golden and it got progressively worse so this is as old as time. Adam and Eve are ultimately to blame.

I did not. You expressed contempt for materialism in your post more than the actual topic and did not connect the topic together. You did, and sidestepped every issue I raised. My post had nothing to do with materialism except in the abstract and everything to do with the pathological narcissism of the Me Generation. You want to blame the children of the Me Generation without blaming the parents who have spent decades only thinking of themselves and even now load the stimulus package with tons of pork which will benefit their friends and themselves.

This is how the respective generations leave their tables. Just sayin'. Why in the fuck would Gen Z-ers stack their dirty dishes? It seems rather disgusting to me, as you would get nasty food goop allover the bottom of the other dishes. I feel sorry for the busboy who has to sort through that crap! It makes it easier for the server to clear the table. They have to stack it like that anyway to bring it back to dish.
