I still remember when it was first announced that Spider-Man was being rebooted. That was 10 years ago at this point. It’s crazy to look at how much has changed since then.
Anyway, I remembered being pretty annoyed when it was announced that SM4 wasn’t going to happen. If I recall, people on IMDb were also generally pretty annoyed by it, although there were some people who defended the decision. The funny thing is that I recall there having been a certain amount of newly ignited backlash to the Raimi films before the announcement of a reboot came about.

I was disappointed because I did actually like Spider-man 3. It has a lot of problems but I found it fun to watch and better than both TASM movies.

Majorly disappointed, especially since I loved 3. Thankfully, I was pleasantly surprised with the first reboot.

Didn't care really as I didn't like the Raimi films but I didnt bother with the replacements.
Nicholas Hammond is #1!

I liked SM3 as well, but as time progressed, I gathered that #4 wasn’t happening. At that point I felt indifferent about it when they announced a reboot.

I didn't know it was being made until they said it had been cancelled.

I was fine with it. SM3 felt crammed in &/or rushed. I didn't want a follow up to that. I don't even acknowledge the Amazing movies as real.

I wasn't aware at the time it was in development until they announced a reboot.

I was really disappointed. The Raimi movies are still my favorite Marvel movies by far. They annihilate the garbage Webb movies, and are still miles better than the harmlessly entertaining but mostly generic Holland movies.
I still fantasize about what Spiderman 4 could've been.

Didn't care as I never really liked Tobey as Spidey and SM3 was such a let down I didn't care if they rebooted, so I was like ok cool new Spidey and SM3 is history yes.

Absolutely disappointed. Tobey is my favorite Spider-man and in my opinion Andrew and Tom didn't even come close. Also I found Spider-man 3 to be a decent movie despite not being as good as the first two.

I really loved 2, but lost interest by the time 3 rolled around, and didn't even know until now that there were plans for a 4.

Spiderman and MJ married.
Sam Raimi going back to one villain per film.
