Whatever those places and events may be - They aren't coming back. Might as well make note of the last concert and restaurant you've been to, and the last sporting event or movie you attended. I'm tired of being cheerful. The writing is on the wall.

Poppycock.

This is such a weird crazy nightmare. Everything is closed where I live!

Just heard that God has postponed The Rapture and Armageddon but The Great Tribulation has been moved forward.

My company cancelled a customer appreciation dinner at a swanky high-end restaurant that was to be held last week - cancelled it two weeks before the event and notified everyone.
My company also hosts an annual charitable golf outing in early June. We postponed it to October, but don't think it's going to happen either.

All the commonplace things have gone just a little crazy…

I was talking to some people about a concert that got rescheduled from March to next September. At the beginning of March they were disappointed it got cancelled. I was amazed that in March they were hoping it would somehow be happening. By the time the concert would have been happening, social gatherings were limited to 50 people. Now that it is supposedly happening in September they seem to scoff at the idea of me saying it won't happen then either.
Who honestly thinks that if things ever get back to normal we will even be able to afford to do anything that we want to? I don't know if it is denial or what, but for the last two months I just felt like everyone was living in a fantasy world where things were fine. And people are still sitting there like oblivious idiots saying "I can't wait until things open back up!" This last week is about to look really easy, and the one before that is going to look like the glory days of life.

It’s frightening and also calming. Like, the thought of never having any plans ever again is...nice?
I mean I’m going nuts with idleness but maybe, if this goes on long enough, everyone will forget I exist and that’ll be sweet.

Things will come back, but not all the way. I think the country is looking at a hell of a recession.

We look to a lot of corporate donors, so I'm thinking this isn't something that will be a priority.

It's like living in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. Doubt we'll see many new cinema releases at all this year. Well maybe later in the year, but I'm not counting my chickens before they hatch.
I never thought I'd live to see the day where rationing certain everyday items became a necessity (and not simply for financial reasons).
