I've had people get up in my face without thinking. Couriers, for example. I walked away from one and he followed me.
And one of my managers at work came up behind me and I felt her breath on my neck. I got up and walked away instinctively, and she followed me round thr room. Some people just cannot think of others. When she left the room, the smell of her perfume lingered for minutes and it was nasty.
i just had one today at work.

im hoping he didn't have corona. I know that queasy feeling. All you can do is cross your fingers and hope ... it was a brief cough he did once luckily, not a hacking one.

Have you ever thought that maybe you could do with a little more protein in your diet?

A guy sneezed on me in a tram a few months ago, but nothing more recent than that. I have heard of a good few instances of police and security personnel (and others) in my city being coughed on. A father and son who spat on a police officer were arrested the other day and are being refused bail by the court.

Based on what a doctor said on Waters World last night it appears your chances of getting the virus just from breathing is a lot less than touching ones face (even the doctor said it was 'almost exclusively from your hands') as it seems to largely enter that way through eyes/nose/mouth by touching ones face with their hands than breathing stuff in as he was saying you need long sustained contact of about 15-30minutes etc from breathing it in to get it. in fact, here is the video so you watch it yourself...
basically that's the whole episode but the COVID-19 stuff is at the beginning for about the first 6 minutes of the above video. given this video it should help calm a lot of peoples paranoia about it.
basically that's great news for people worried about COVID-19. so those paranoid about the virus can stop worrying!
p.s. but I can see how people do get it though as I think many of us have a habit of touching our faces here and there.

Apparently, the average person touches their face thousands of times each day. Most of us probably do it without realizing it much the time. It's something that comes so naturally that it's actually very difficult to prevent.

Ever go to shake somebody's hand and then suddenly remember?..whoops! That has happened to me a couple of times in the last week or so. But no, I have not been coughed on, for which I am very grateful.

darkreviewer2013Yeah, but if someone is careful where they have put their hands in the first place it should help limit the damage. this mainly applies when someone leaves their home as inside their home should be pretty safe. but I guess I am a bit more conscious of this stuff than the common person is even though I do touch my face randomly like many others do. but the point being... since catching COVID-19 is largely on touching ones face and not breathing it in (even though you can get it from breathing but it appears much more difficult), that basically gives more power to people to control it vs if it was easy to contract from breathing it in. because if one could easily catch it in the air, then isolation would be that much more necessary.

I think that's the greatest benefit of wearing a mask for the average person. It serves as a constant reminder not to touch your face by partially covering it.
