Many states and areas of the U.S., under the guidance of sane leaders like Beshear, are slowing down the virus now, and the hospitals aren't being overrun in places around Kentucky and southern Indiana.
I would still expect the outbreak to occur. I know here around southern Indiana, it looks like half the people are taking it very seriously, doing social distance, and behaving like adults. About half of the others are forced to work through this, and half of those remaining are more like "I'm taking it serious, but I don't want to look like I am scared, so I'm pushing the envelope a little", and the remaining eighth appear to be either oblivious are just arrogant.
So that 1/8 or so is going to eventually make the huge outbreak. It will, of course, come without warning.
It looks like we'll at least have some more medical supplies before the outbreak, and the timeline will divide it somewhat better, but I would be surprised if it doesn't happen.
I'm thinking there will be a lull just before the outbreak, when a lot of otherwise concerned people will just get careless, and think it is over.
And another such lull after the outbreak dies down, making a second outbreak.
Still, people like Beshear are saving lives. It's too bad the Republicans botched up so much. People who listen to Rush (not Lee, Lifeson, and Peart, but that radio guy) and watch FOX, and listen to other such cronies of the right, I think are "victims", and people who rely on them will also be "victims". Not that any more of them will die than others. But that they will be cogs of destruction, and may never even realize it, without meaning to be.
It would be nice if the radio contract for Rush could have a loophole to allow the playing of Lee, Lifeson, and Peart to preempt that other guy, Limburger or whatever his name is. No offense to the guy. I hope he gets well from his condition, but he doesn't need to be broadcasting fake news.

Totally. People that were already careless will become criminally negligent and allow it to rebound.

Sadly, everything now has got to have an "us" vs "them" side to it for so many, common sense be damned.
I honestly think we could have handled this and quashed this much more easily 20 years ago.

Put it this way... people are people (like humanity is going to do what it's going to do, be it good or bad). if it's going to happen, it's going to happen. not much one can do about it as some people will play ball while others mostly won't. but people like to think they are in control of everything when in reality they are not. besides... this COVID-19 threat will mostly play itself out with enough time like stuff of the past. it's not worth losing sleep over something that only has a small chance to kill you. so while I am not against keeping a low-profile it's nothing I am going to be paranoid over either. like if someone needs to go out occasionally for food etc, do it. just wash your hands before touching ones face and your chances of getting the virus should be minimal (just be more aware of where your hands have been before touching ones face as it appears that's largely how people get it from what a doctor said on Waters World on March 28th 2020). p.s. people need a little more faith in God nowadays. because worst case scenario, say a person dies, as long as they are good with God then in the big picture you win

Well, posted this on 3-31-20, and it pretty well hit the nail on the head, but then half of America said about the same thing. Being "correct" doesn't make us happy.

On July 7th 2020 episode of the Laura Ingraham show... "We know now that the fatality rate is 0.04% for people under 70. which is less then or equal to seasonal flu for people under 70 years old" - Dr. Scott Atlas
is it really worth obsessing over it with that kind of info? ; COVID-19 is clearly overblown to where it's mostly fear-mongering unless you happen to be fairly old and in weak health. but even then it's not a death sentence.
but yet society is obsessed with masks and shutting down the country etc. but it's obvious those on the left are doing it more for a power trip etc than anything else.

The puppet masters....the de facto rulers of the Earth....the ones who launched this "plague"......are following the Bible. The Christian Bible. They're not following Hinduism or Buddhism or Jainism or any of those other isms. They are throwing the world into chaos, out of which the New World Order will emerge. Not to say that the Old World Order was perfect. It certainly wasn't. The Antichrist is coming in a few more years. You may not dig my style, baby, but his.....his is the pits.

Posted in March, and looks like there is a definite "lull" helping in a resurgence, which I admit was easy to predict. Everyone predicted it.

Well, posted in March 2020, and it's going to happen again and again. I am nearly alone wearing a mask in Kentucky-Indiana. Less than 5% of the population wears a mask at any time that I've seen.

But Florida man is on the job.
Previously he barred localities from imposing mask mandates. And now he has banned schools from requiring masks. I guess he thinks there are just too many kids. But then...kids don't pay taxes so it's understandable.
And his new campaign motto is....Make America Florida. LOL But then given how so many on the right got down on their knees to Trump, maybe it'll work.

Friend of mine who's pro-vacc and masks told me he's done, not going back to wearing masks. 3 weeks ago. But I guarantee he's back to wearing them. Will have to check. Austin is tightening up. Abbott is losing some control.
