While we are all secluded away these days, it's been a great time to catch up on TV shows. I'm notoriously starting a new show and then dropping it in favor of the next newer show. Now, I have time to finish the shows I abandoned, and they are legion. Actually, I only ever saw season one of Legion, so I could maybe catch up on that one too. Here's what I've been up to since the seclusion era began: Yesterday I watched the movie, the short that was the basis for the movie, and all ten episodes of the TV version of What We Do In The Shadows. Watched all of season 3 of Animal Kingdom on Netflix. Season 4 is not on yet. Still have two episodes of Time After Time and then it's over. Started watching season 1 of Narcos, almost done, and then seasons 2 and 3 are next. Ozark season 3, just started. Trying to control my minor tendancy towards ADD behavior and limit myself to a select few so as to actually accomplish something.

Re-watching Penny Dreadful. Eva Green would get my vote for best female performance in a dramatic series ever.

Re-watching Penny Dreadful. Eva Green would get my vote for best female performance in a dramatic series ever. Especially the first season. I don't think she was even nominated for any Emmy. Incredible performance throughout the series.

Are you up to date on Better Call Saul? 2 episodes of Season 5 behind so please no spoilers but other than that yes. Its So interesting to see the metamorphosis of Jimmy/Saul, really incredible acting and writing. And so far I found only two goofs in their storylines. * EDIT - in Episode 6 the goods were amended so it all fits now I am impressed.

I got tired of "Animal Kingdom" last season... The plot just got stale for me. Not sure if I'll tune in again. I think I prefer the Australian movie.

I think Iβve burned myself out on TV. Itβs getting harder and harder to watch stuff.
But Iβve had Community on in the background for the last few days.

I keep trying to go back and get thru Altered Carbon season 2 but I just haven't been in the mood for it...
Im also not much in the mood for Westworld yet but I have that on the back burner. ..
And in full disclosure Ive been watching some Survivor...I just watched the second Fans vs Favorites for the first time and have kind of kept up with the current season...

so this is my wall of shame. I have been jobless from April 1st and managed to watch the following since then:
1. Breaking Bad season 4 and 5, 2. Better Call Saul season 5 up to date episodes, 3. Sinner season 1 and 2, 4. Safe first and last episode (realized I had seen it already so skipped the middle), 5. Little Fires Everywhere all available episodes, 6. Zooeys Playlist all available episodes, 7. Devs, all available episodes 8. Outlander episodes 1+2 then dropped because its too sappy 9. Modern Family season 11 10. Hunters season 1
And now I am out of tv it seems. I have the Shield in my pipeline but somehow cannot make myself start it, even though I have heard the best things about it.
If anybody has any NEW drama, crime or mystery (thats not centered around rich teens and their troubles), ideally something that feels like more from a real world - like Unbelievable or The Spy - please recommend. Thank you. I would love to watch season 2 of Manhunt, focused on Richard Jewel, but its not anywhere I subscribe to.

Also, I watched Westworld episodes 1-3 and couldnt get into it. felt too slow and derivative. but i hear people rave about it, woudl you recommend I give it another go, is it getting better throughout the seasons? Same goes for Altered Carbon - a show I SHOULD like on paper. It has all that I usualyl go for. But something felt very flat about it when I gave it a 20 minute try. Should I push through?

I am getting to that point too I think. I love Community so much, but was so turned off by the cast departures in the later seasons that I didnt even watch the last season. Should I give it a chance?

Ha! Itβs important to diversify. Read a book or do a crossword or something that doesnβt involve a screen. Seasons 5 & 6? Theyβre alright. Some good moments, but I donβt think the show recovers from its losses. Itβs not bad TV but it never reaches the heights of the the first half of the show. Itβs worth a watch Iβd say - If youβre willing to accept that itβs not as good as the first few seasons. Theyβre fairly short seasons too, which helps. The finale is actually pretty well done all things considered (I do have a few gripes with it though).

Iβd say season 3 is prob better than 2...although thereβs a few characters missing in the former because of events in the latter that I did appreciate. But I didnβt have a hard time getting into season 3. I did rewatch 1 and 2 about a month ago tho so the whole story was fresh in my head.

I watched the movie, the short and all ten episodes of the TV series in one day. The TV series is equally as funny as the movie, different characters but still good. The movie characters even appear in one episode. I think anyone who loved the movie would enjoy the series as much. The short was okay but didn't have the production value of the movie and was basically the same jokes, but interesting to see how they built upon it.
