What We Do in the Shadows is well made television that rewards viewers who pay attention to details. I enjoy it considerably.

so this is my wall of shame. I have been jobless from April 1st and managed to watch the following since then: 1. Breaking Bad season 4 and 5, 2. Better Call Saul season 5 up to date episodes, 3. Sinner season 1 and 2, 4. Safe first and last episode (realized I had seen it already so skipped the middle), 5. Little Fires Everywhere all available episodes, 6. Zooeys Playlist all available episodes, 7. Devs, all available episodes 8. Outlander episodes 1+2 then dropped because its too sappy 9. Modern Family season 11 10. Hunters season 1 And now I am out of tv it seems. I have the Shield in my pipeline but somehow cannot make myself start it, even though I have heard the best things about it. If anybody has any NEW drama, crime or mystery (thats not centered around rich teens and their troubles), ideally something that feels like more from a real world - like Unbelievable or The Spy - please recommend. Thank you. Â I would love to watch season 2 of Manhunt, focused on Richard Jewel, but its not anywhere I subscribe to. Nora You should check out the BBC series Luther starring Idris Elba. It might be my favorite detective procedural I've watched. I also hear great things about Broadchurch with David Tennant and Olivia Colman. Also Rescue Me with Denis Leary is one of my favorite shows. It's a bit more comedic but has very real-world situations in it.

Great recommendation.

Started watching Dispatches From Elsewhere with my daughter, a story of ordinary people caught up in an extraordinary mystery/conspiracy or something. Started a new series Tales from the Loop, a sci-fi anthology series on Prime about a small Ohio town built above a secret govt lab. Think Eureka meets Twilight Zone. Finished Freud, the story is simple but it has a lot of atmosphere and is visually stimulating. It is the untold (i.e. completely made up) story of Sigmund Freud solving a hypnosis based mystery, and an intersecting story of a policeman seeking to avenge the death of his son. Finished Zone Blanche (Black Spot), which I started months ago and only had a couple episodes left. A French mystery/thriller series about a small backwoods town with an unusually high murder rate. A prosecutor is sent to find out what is going on but he has a separate agenda for being there. Meanwhile residents contend with a supernatural force in the local forests and an eco-terrorist group trying to shut down the local mine. All the various plots work but even with everything going on, it's a slow-ish burn.

Lost internet for 1.5 days so could only watch stuff on the DVR. Finished off 911 Lone Star and don't think I will watch S2.

Rewatched all of Twin Peaks (1990-1991), then Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me (1992), and for the first time, Twin Peaks (2017). I loved every second of it all!

I've been trying to catch up on TV shows as well, not to mention my backed up list of books and movies.
I've binged both seasons of Barry, the first season of MASH, the third season of Mr. Robot, Dead Set, American Horror Story: Cult, AHS: 1984, and The Night Of.

Finished Murdoch Mysteries S13. Watching Poldark which is pure soap opera, reminds me of being a little kid and watching General Hospital and Days of Our Lives with Mom. Watching The Office, first time seeing it beginning to end. S1 was mildly amusing but S2 is where it really takes off.

Finally watching The Crown. Been on my list for years now and I'm kicking myself for waiting for so long. It's incredible.

Started Carnivale but my daughter can't make up her mind if she likes it. She plays on her phone the whole time and has no idea what is going on but won't admit it. It's fine with me if she doesn't like it then I can watch it at my own pace. Her likes and dislikes are so eclectic it's hard to find stuff for us to watch together.

Dirty John was unexpectedly great. A true story that builds up to a shocking finale!

I've already watched Twin Peak: The Return [2017] twice (though not just in the past month or so). It's arguably even better than the original series. Combined it's easily my all time favorite television series. The final episode is among the best things Lynch has done IMO.

Lynch obviously had more freedom to do what he wanted, so that's what we got, pure genius.

Completed all six seasons of Oz. This show moves quickly, it's worse than Game of Thrones for dispatching characters you may be attached to. Super violent and plenty of graphic nudity, makes every other show seem so mild in comparison now. The drama level is off the charts. Made me consider prisoners as human beings instead of just criminals who deserve what happens to them. Well worth watching!

Holidays until today, my first time. Admittedly, there were some days where so much death & cynicism were quite brooding.

I started watching through Twilight Zone and the 3 Stooges but still got a long ways to go on them. I did see the entire series of Animaniacs, and after a few years finally watched the final volume of Beetlejuice.

I've watched seasons 1-5 of Boy Meets World three times since November 1st. On my 4th go now. I don't watch season 6 or 7.
