I was in a DVD rut for a while. I had as many VHS tapes as DVDs, and many of my DVDs were lost or ruined in the many times I've moved over the past 5 years.
So, got eight in the mail today, that I ordered. Most were replacing some I had lost, or were no longer playable, or I had on VHS only.
My lockdown orders: THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING THE TWO TOWERS RETURN OF THE KING THEM! LILIES OF THE FIELD BLAZING SADDLES NATIONAL LAMPOON'S VACATION FORT APACHE
Now that's ENTERTAINMENT!

I received a blu ray in the mail yesterday and it was broken. I mean the disc was literally broken in half. This had never happened to me before.

DVDs??!! Yeah, and after that I’m gonna dust off the ole VHS player to continue antiques week... I don`t think you know what that word means. Neither DVDs or VHS players are antique, as for something to be antique it must be 100 years or older. VHS player could be called vintage but DVDs can not.

Haven't ordered any DVDs or Blu Rays (even though I am an avid collector of both) and doubt I'll be getting any more for the foreseeable future. To make up for that, I am planning on renting a few movies digitally in the near future. Some titles I'll likely be renting fairly soon are:
Knives Out Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Frozen II
I've already rented The Andromeda Strain (1971).

Same with the Blu Ray collection, but that one is a bit on the pricey side. But as regards the DVD collection, it's nice to have the 7 movies in the one set and the packaging is nicely designed.

Yeah I know there is the 1999 set and the one from 2010. I do have the bonus disc from the '99 set. The Blu Ray set is at my local Walmart for like 30 bucks I think. There is also the remake but I hate that film and do not wish to own it even for my collection. I got the 2 four packs from 2008. They were the cheapest.

I've seen those 4-movie packs on Youtube collector's videos. I don't own the 2010 remake either. Never actually watched it and don't intend to. I just never saw the point in remaking such a classic.

I'm on a mission to watch the tv series 'Veronica Mars' and 'Orphan Black', or at least make a start on them both. I still have the final season of Orphan Black to watch, not sure why I've put it off this long, I loved that show. And there's that newest Hulu season of Veronica Mars that I still haven't looked at yet either. Loved that show too.

And there's that newest Hulu season of Veronica Mars that I still haven't looked at yet either. Loved that show too. That's good to know. I've had the complete 'Orphan Black' dvd box-set on a shelf for the best part of a year now, yet still not started it, as I watch more films than tv shows, and get into things like wrestling and NFL (when the season's on). Chailce_Of_Evil recommended I give it a watch. I bought it because I found the general premise intriguing.
Hopefully, I can get that on the go first, then look towards 'Veronica Mars'.

I watched the first two seasons of Orphan Black all at once so it was easy to get sucked in, hope you like it too.
