Where is everyone and are you ok?
WKD , the wicked kitties and I are doing good so far . WKD is working from home, and after tomorrow I'm staying home for at least 2 weeks. Try not to get stressed, stress is bad for your health. Just take each day one at a time and find something to smile about. My naughty kitties keep me smiling and they are driving WKD nuts, he had a conference call yesterday and 2 of the kitties decided to sing, everyone on the call kept asking what that noise was, my husband kept his mouth shut.

Doing ok. Glad you are, too. Going a bit bonkers.
So at least 44 of these age twenties spring break in Cabo "kids" came back to Austin with the virus. Tinder for the fire-to spread all around the Austin area and who knows how much beyond.
"I'll infect 10 friends, they'll infect 10 friends, and so on and so on and so on."
Except they won't just be friends. They'll be families and old farts and service workers and nurses. People are online calling it karma and just desserts (sic) and laughing at them, but they aren't the victims. Some will die as a result, and it won't be them.
I was going to try senior hours at Costco at 8 am, then thought Whole Foods at 7am. But I know I'm safe right now unless a waft of droplets hit during a bike ride. Why reset the dread clock when I'm fine? I'll figure a way to get veggies, etc. I have plenty to live on, no pun intended.

Thanks for asking wkm That kitty story was cute. They are naughty. Lol We are trying to stay away from people. My husband and I walk at different times less we take our daughter with severe cerebral palsy into the world Guess we are hunkering down until they find a cure or a vaccine. She is very vulnerable. I am cooking more. I think about what I am going to make instead of last minute dinners. I try not to watch too much news. Gets so depressing. I am emailing my brothers more. Family seems so important now.

This is week 3 in Toronto (2 weeks of lockdown and 1 week before of March break). We were told yesterday 12 MORE WEEKS!!! School is moving to online and while I don't teach a class (I'm the teacher librarian) I am trying to support everyone else with and without their asking. I keep reminding them of my services. Also looking into my mother every day. At home with my husband and my 2 uni aged kids who are being inundated with more and yet more assignments.
Still, we aren't really at each other's throats yet and the house is big enough for us to be elsewhere for part of the day. My son goes out to the grocery store where he works so he's a front-line worker (or whatever they're calling it now). Thankfully he's mostly in the back wrapping fish and meat.
Thanks for asking. As we say up here, "we'll all get through this together".

Good call, WKM! Hi, all. I'm glad to see the board "moving," again. Yesterday, I looked to see what was being discussed ... nothing ... and, I didn't have anything to add, either. I ride the emotional roller coaster, like everyone else. Our Mayor told us "Go To Your Room," as of midnight on March 17. The Governor followed suit, 2 days later. So, it's been a while. Of course, my apartment is spotlessly cleaned, and perfectly organized, RIGHT? I Wish! But, evidently, I don't wish hard enough to get to it. I'm well supplied. My first grocery order was delivered 2 days after I sent the order. The 2nd was a 3 day wait. I see the handwriting on the wall. But, I have no need/want to hoard, so I'll keep track, and hope that my imagination leads me to new recipes, and general ways of dealing with the New World Order. I also keep wondering what major changes may become permanent, after this is behind us. We'll see. Let's check in, regularly.

I'm here, not always posting, but reading and lurking. All is well here, so far so good. mr sunshine is still working as his job is considered essential. He's taking a week's vacation and then will be working mostly from home, but still doing some inspections out in the public. Stocked on groceries last week, so didn't go out this week and probably not next week unless I need cat food or prescriptions picked up. Our local libraries have been closed for quite awhile now and aren't scheduled to re-open until possibly the end of May. They are extending check-outs so no fees, but I'm running out of things to read and DVDs to watch. Don't have cable, so not much choice of TV. It's been raining and now the temperature is dropping enough that it's starting to freeze on the trees. I went out to gather eggs and picked a daffodil to bring inside. Then I realized it was already covered in ice. No ice on the ground yet, but a niece that live farther north of us said it was spitting snow. Weatherman just said we will hit mid-80's next week. That's how we roll in Missouri!
