come on you cant be serious that you have never heard about most of them. hes got some pretty amazing ones there… which ones do you know? you may have a few gems here that you havent seen yet. None of the UK series have shown here on PBS .. my only source of UK shows... and the US ones he liked, I found pretty much unwatchable. If the OP wanted only to be told that his choices were wonderful, perhaps he should not have asked hoe awful his list is ! you found Park and Rec, Office, 30 rock and Brooklyn 99 unwatchable?? I would get Good Place and HIMYM, and if you tell me you hate the mockumentary style nad cringe comedy I would understand considering Par and Rec and Office unwatchable in your eyes (although I believe there is much more to it than its format) but 30 Rockand Brooklyn 99? Whats not to like? Genuinly asking what made it unwatchable for you. And now of course I am curious about what shows you like... care to name a few?

Brooklyn Nine Nine is so bad it should be placed in hazardous waste containers.
Alec Baldwin was the only thing that made 30 Rock marginally bearable, and that was largely canceled out by watching the supremely unfunny Tina Fey pat herself on the back episode after episode congratulating herself on how 'edgy' and 'transgressive' she was(n't).
The Office USA version was funny for its allotted 15 minutes. Once Steve Carroll left and the thing dwindled down to semi-soap opera it should have been put out of its misery by the responsible parties.
The others I'm either not acquainted with, or not enough so as to have formed any opinion about them.

Most of my best pick sitcoms date from the Seventies to early Eighties (there are exceptions, things like Blackadder, Mr. Bean, As Time Goes By, and several others, mostly UK productions); I'm honestly not impressed with most latter-day US stuff (again, some exceptions: Arrested Development, The Garry Shandling Show, Curb Your Enthusiasm, a small handful of others)--the majority of latter-day broadcast tv sitcoms don't do much for me. I recall hearing some tv critics tout B99 as being a cop humor show in the vein of the late, great Barney Miller (a genuine classic). Intrigued, I tuned in--to find my jaw dropping at the puerile 'humor', dopey characters, and all around air of stupidity the show gave off. If this is what contemporary critics find comparable to one of the best genre sitcoms tv had to offer, all I can say is contemporary critics must not be too familiar with those earlier shows. What can I say about US The Office? It had a period of general funny in its first couple of seasons, levelled off later, and dropped into the toilet when Carroll departed. Comic entropy is generally the demon that besets all but the very best comedic television shows anyway .

It's all opinion, anyway. Few things are more subjective than comedy .
