That'll do. At least it will be on TV. The later it gets, the more warmup time it will take to get players ready. An 80 game season would be a joke, like playing the Masters on a putt putt course or deciding the playoffs in a Home Run Derby.

I think this is what is probably part of semi-normalcy will look like until spring/summer 2021 for all sectors. Korean baseball starting back up. Beginning with intrasquad games, then exhibition, pre-season, & finally regular season. They're being very strict about the process - if literally any single individual (player, security, cleaners, etc) tests positive, the entire thing shuts again for 14 days, across the board. I think that's where we're headed. Eventually pro sports will want to accept that reality for the next 12-18 months or whatever & try creative things to get going again. The NFL is probably in the best position because only playing once a week, but every last person involved would need to adhere to social distancing/isolating, & the first sign of concern, pull the plug full stop. I keep hearing how pro leagues won't want to compromise traditional infrastructure & whatnot just to play again. It's barely April & already video games being played by athletes are going quite viral. Come June, I'd be shocked if the appetite to deliver sports with very limited access isn't fully onboard. I just can't see the NBA & NHL cancelling rather than find creative alternatives after so many idle weeks.
