I usually just go to Supercuts but they’re closed with the plague. I’m starting to look like Ziggy Marley. Anybody have a brand of clippers they’d recommend?

Get a 'Wahl'
Can get one of the good ones for like $50 with a lot of accesorries at like a Walmart or Target.
Can get a low end for like $25 at Rite Aid (they probably have the low end ones at Target/Walmart too)
I use it in the Fall, Winter, Spring with no attachment - pretty much like a 5 O'Clock Shadow on your head/face - Summer I 'Bic' my head - i.e. straight razor

I like looking like Ziggy Marley. I had to have short hair for my entire childhood. It was the 70's, everyone had longish hair. I looked like Matthew Modine at the beginning of Full Metal Jacket. Since, I've had my hair as long as i can get away with.

Since, I've had my hair as long as i can get away with. Had really long hair for much of the 90s. My 'short' hair is still long by most people's standards and right now I've let it go back beyond shoulder length. Knock on wood I'm still not bald.

Can't help you there - I've been shaving my head for at least 15 years.

Only the second time I've ever done that.

Oops, I forgot to say I used my Remington clippers. They're OK.
The Phillips set I bought is a load of shite.

I get Triple Blades - try to get 3 or 4 shaves out of them now before they start getting dull.

Years ago I figured I'd try an electric for my face - went out and bought a Norelco over $100 for my face - was trash - kind of found - at least for my face - nothing works better than a straight razor to look clean cut.

Been doing so since. How much are good blades now? I use a Remington dual file shaver. I've found it shaves as close as a blade. I replace the foils and cutting blades about twice a year at a cost of about €20 a pop. Way cheaper than blades over a year I'd say. Maybe?

I get Schtick Extreme 3 - triple blades - 8 of them for like 9 bucks or so at a Supermarket called Giant by me - price fluctuates at times - can't beat it - does a really good job

I think a good electrical razor for the face is definitely a great investment to save money on blades in the long run - problem is - I just could never find one for my face that went as close as straight razors - and some I'd have to go over areas of my face like 5 or so times and it still wouldn't shave/get close to the skin.

For all the guys here who shave their heads -
Check out a website called 'skullshaver.com'
Curious if anybody has a 'Pitbull' razor - pretty cool website - they look pretty sweet.

Yeah, I used an electric shaver for years but switched to Gillette and didn't look back.

I've tried a few rotary head shavers and while they all shave close they don't get smooth as an egg close. They all leave a slight fuzz. I get an incredibly smooth finish with the dual foil. Only major problem with the foil is the fact it doesn't do well at all with hair that's longer than a couple of millimeters so I gotta shave my head every two days-ish. Haven't tried one of those Pitbull ones though.

I've seen barbershops use these to get a smooth finish on people's fades. Has anyone tried one. Not too expensive either.
