You know the remake is going to suck . . . and suck BIG time. Lot's of jump scares, terrible CGI, over-blown score, the lead will be a black LGBT woman with two adopted children - one Asian and one Latino. The war event will be Occupy Wall Street, the life partner worked in the banking industry and disappeared during a demonstration gone wild and the island will be Manhattan.

Most remakes are pointless, but this has to be the most pointless remake in the history of remakes. Well at least its in the top 5 of pointless remakes.
And here of course we also see the problem with the industry today, they rather make remakes nobody wants instead of coming up with original stories.

Wow, Hollywood is getting so desperate they're now remaking movies from the 2000s! Well, in the 90's they were remaking movies from the 70's and in the 70's they were remaking movies from the 50's. Its basically the same.
