Wow, I'm actually kinda surprised. I new this would hit them hard, but I kinda thought they were taking a better approach this time.
And I know it obviously meant nothing, but when they ended their season they announced that they were committed to playing a fill season in 2021.

Vince has enough money to do this 1000 times. It's just something to keep his name of the sports pages. No competitor to the NFL (or any of the Big 4 leagues) can succeed anymore. There's a vicious circle. Want to be relevant, need to spend. But you can't spend if you don't have money coming in. The USFL might have worked but there was too many owners with too little money. If they hadn't overexpanded, it might have worked, even before Trump pulled it down (no political statement, he did fuck up the USFL). Even t that, the more successful team didn't succeed at the ticket window. Probably the two best were the Philly Stars and the Michigan Panthers, Neither made it to the end.

See I think this time around they tried to be a minor league and never try to be a competitor. And I don't see why a minor league should not be possible. |

Just hearing the news now. I didn't see this coming. I thought for sure Vince would really give it a go this time. I'm pretty disappointed. Thank you to everyone who participated in the weekly XFL threads. It was fun. |

Srsly, though. Vince should, & I'm serious, start a female American football league. He should get props for the current female superstars era in WWE.
I bet he could make more money promoting women's football than hiring a bunch of jabronis with no NFL qualifications.
