I'd say it largely it is and I think baseball only does well in popularity when the Yankees are really good and are winning World Series like crazy.
But, most of the MLB's is senile old white men who are stuck in the 1920's, 1930's, 1950's and 1960's and won't shut up about how steroids ruined their favorite sport and are jealous of the Yankees' long history of success because their personal favorite baseball sucks donkey balls and has extremely shitty ownership.

It's been supposedly dying since around 1912 or so, yet for some reason millions still enjoy the game, and have been for over a century.
Hard to figure these things sometimes....

what are your thoughts on bringing the DH to the NL?
I've switched my stance over the years - before I was deadset against it - but I think in today's times - where a lot of people crave entertainment - i.e. - scoring runs - it may be the move to make.
i enjoy a good pitcher's duel and defense - but i don't think most casual fans do

I've always enjoyed that the two Leagues did it differently, it's kind of a neat, unique thing about the game. I was born and bred as a Sox fan, so I grew up on the DH. Never had a problem with anything that kept guys like Yaz and Don Baylor playing. And of course, you got guys like Edgar Martinez and David Ortiz going in the Hall of Fame as DH's. I moved to California and got into watching Giants baseball, and really came to appreciate the National League way of baseball, though. Matter of fact, I've grown to like it more. It's more of a thinking man's game, which of course is why modern culture wants to destroy it. Keep the Leagues the way they are, I say.

Think we as a community are too mean to newbies? Wasnβt that poster the one who said pulling for the D-Backs in the 2001 World Series was like pulling for terrorists? Good riddance I say. I donβt think most people on here are mean at all.
