I thought it was gonna be James Wan.
Oh well. Gary Dauberman has proven to be a mostly lame writer, and he hasn't directed anything other than one mediocre movie deep into a never ending series that wasn't terrible, but at best was just more of the same old shit.
I have no expectations for this now. Hope it's good, but that'll be a nice surprise of it happens.

yikes do we need another?. I’m open to it. I don’t even like the original from the seventies.

I don't really like James Wan either, but he clearly has some clout. Why would he choose one of the worst Stephen King books imaginable?

Think about it like this. He directed Aquaman. One of THE worst superheroes ever and actually gave him a pretty decent movie.

He embraced the absurdity, and I suppose that was the only way to go, but that movie is one of the most ridiculously annoying things ever committed to digital 'film.' But maybe that's the way it should be... I don't know.

I liked the original miniseries. I did not like the remake with Rob Lowe. Why a remake of a remake? There are plenty of other horror authors out there will good stories they can make and not carbon copy the latest trend.

I loved the book. Didn't care for the 1979 mini-series though. Admittedly, the vampire did look cool. I'm open to this.

It is a terrible book. Pretty much shitty in every way. The combinations of it being King's first attempt at sci fi and him being geeked out on cocaine and drinking booze constantly was not conducive to great fiction.

Good. 'Salem's Lot is definitely King's best book but both adaptations were mediocre.

Good. 'Salem's Lot is definitely King's best book but both adaptations were mediocre. With Gary Dauberman in charge what would give you the impression that this would be anything other than mediocre?

I’m open to it. I don’t even like the original from the seventies. who would you cast as well. Why do you end every sentence with 'as well' or 'at all?'
