I thought that anyone who was critical of Rose was a dirty racist, and that there was no other explanation for not loving that perfect character.

There is a potential loop hole to explain this, OR it could just be that those excuses was BULLSHIT!!!

A lot of it was how they criticized the character. They used that she was Asian in quite a bit of it. Then add in that they went after her personally.

For some people sure, but there are always dickheads who are ignorant pricks, but like with all criticism towards TLJ what RJ, Lucasfilm, Disney ect did was paint EVERYONE who was critical with the same brush as those ignorant cum stained cuntcicles.
I mean Rose was a worthless character they shoehorned into a pointless side story, who was also way overhyped, not all the criticism was from people going "I dunt lyke hur cuz she ayshen adn ay womun derp derp derp", but that is the narrative that was spun, she was just a shitty character, and it's sad because KMT could maybe have done something if she wasn't given a character with the upside of a plate full of piss.

Fair enough but I take KK's continued support for RJ and Disney's allowance of that as the same thing, we all saw how quick they were to fire James Gunn when distasteful jokes he made almost a decade earlier were dug up because it didn't represent Disney and their values, so to continue to support RJ who did and for a good while outright say that type of shit smells like an endorsement of said shit imo.

I doubt her race had anything to do with people not liking her. Although white people especially hypocritical white liberals are racists more often than not. Personally I thought she was boring as dirt and pointless. Also why were we shown her hot sister? Was it just to taunt the people who paid good money to see the shitty movie? Here's a hot babe but she's not in the movie but how about her fat butt ugly sister instead? Kind of mean spirited but par for the course with those crappy movies.

The "firing" of James Gunn was a business thing. Notice how they conveniently rehired him like a few days after the Fox deal finished.

Don't think she was really fat or ugly. But that hairstyle she had was. If she was fat or ugly, I think it was more in comparison to her sister. I think Kelly Marie Tran is actually pretty.

The only thing I'd change from her story in TLJ is reversing some of her and Finn's story. They should have had her trying to honor her sister more than they did. Make her wanting to be that hero kinda mirroring Poe's story. Do stuff like replacing Finn's sacrifice to the laser and Finn saving her instead.

Yeah because they wanted to distance themselves from his comments, which so did he because it wasn't anything new just lots of old shit during the time he was making Slither and that weird not superhero kind of superhero movie, but they didn't choose to do this with RJ, he's calling fans racists and the like and Disney is sitting there going yeah that's fine, I have said it before but it's like a parent whose kid misbehaves, say your 3 year old just decides to take a shit in the middle of the supermarket, not the parents fault if they didn't see it the little bastard did it himself, but if the parent then praises the child and rewards them then that's on them, they are encouraging that sort of behaviour and saying they don't see anything wrong with it, if they scold the child and profusely apologise however then they are showing they do not encourage it and think it is wrong for the kid to do, Disney did far more encouraging than they did discouraging with RJ imo.

That's because3 people weren't calling out RJ specifically to mess up the Fox deal. Dude called out James Gunn right when the Fox deal was in full swing.
I don't think Disney was doing that. They most likely was trying to market TLJ. Even doing that trick of saying they going to give him his own Star Wars trilogy. But then when TLJ was gone, you hear nothing from Johnson when it comes to Star Wars.

I would make them have a purpose on the Frist Order ship other than getting their friends killed personally, like to me and this goes into my idea to make Kylo less meek desire, Kylo awakens first after the lightsabre accident not Rey, he orders her detained, BB-8 causes internal issues which buys the fleet a little time, and allows Rey to escape, so them being on the ship is why Rey gets free and as she saves the Resistance in the end them being on the ship despite DJ's betrayal saves the saviour of the Resistance, that way they aren't completely 100% worthless to the cause.
I would also have Rose be shocking people because escape wont work, she's saving people from needlessly dying, not forcing them to stay, fight and likely die just because her sister died, I mean that made me dislike her from the get go, such a cuntish reason to do what she was doing imo.

This is like that guy who says he's not racist because he has a black friend. For the record, I'm not calling you a racist. But given that you are using a variation of the aforementioned "black friend" defense, it wouldn't surprise me if you were.

The problem with Kylo is that he should have been Ben Solo in The Force Awakens. There is no point in having a "secret" character when they are just gonna do the reveal right away. He should have been feeling that Dark Side pull before the movie starts, but ultimately turns at the end when he kills Han. It made no sense for him to be that much of an apprentice when Luke has been gone for so long. He really should be at at least RotS Anakin levels by the time of TFA. He seems more like he's lower than Anakin in AotC with some tricks he learned. That would give more reason for all the conflict he's having. Because he's new to the Dark Side.
As for Rey being captured, wouldn't having BB-8 still make the other 2 useless? They didn't do anything to help her escape. I think their mission should have succeeded, but they still got caught on their way out. There was no point in having the First Order blow up ships if they are just going to have a ground battle and then kill more Resistance soldiers. They just wanted a Lando moment with DJ. But the thing is, they would have killed him. Why pay him off? He's able to break into their ships.
Or that the people going AWOL were stealing escape pods that they'd most likely need. They had transports, but, as seen earlier, those could be destroyed in the hangar.

I like that idea for Kylo, that's the one thing we had not seen in the movies yet, the actual turn to the and consequences of the darkside, Anakin just turned on a dime and we then skip 20 years pretty much, Kylo needing to learn how to control his new powers and deepening rage would actually be interesting rather than the emo Vader wannabe stuff.
As for the BB-8 thing, eh kind of but it gives a point to their mission atleast, to make them less useless you can have Finn with BB-8 looking for their way out, he spots Rey in a cell on a monitor and tells BB-8 to let her out, maybe also guide her path to an escape pod, they have no way to reach her so they need to take their own pod also, but they do also clearly wreck the hyperspace tracking, or they steal it somehow and corrupt all the First Order's files, so that's also why they can escape in the end and is a small glimmer of hope for them as they now have the tech to track the First Order so they can easily evade them, but as is there was no point to their sidequest, usually even in failing such a thing it leads to something more, this did nothing, like RJ forgot he had the actors in the movie and just went ah shit and patched in some pointless DLC crap.
I agree about DJ, why pay him off? I get making him think they would but once they have all he can offer why let him leave?
For Rose in the start even if they just had her say after she says she's zapped 3 people or whatever have her chuckle nervously and say on the generals orders obviously, I wouldn't have minded it, because Leia has ordered it, but Rose doesn't know why, her cowards thing is just her reasoning, as by the end of the movie we get why Leia would order this, she has a plan and doesn't want anyone risking their lives or wasting pods, but for Rose to just decide no fuck you people I am willing to die for this shit and so should you, and you will whether you like it or not, that just makes her instantly unlikable to me, especially as she just seems to be a grunt and not a shot caller, Poe or Leia enforcing this atleast has some merit given their ranks, and because they believe in the cause, Rose seems more just I am hurting so fuck everyone else, and she's like this the entire movie, fuck anything or anyone else Rose's only concern is what she wants.

My only real problem with The Last Jedi is when it takes place. Star Wars really don't do straight sequels. Even with TFA leaving off on a literal cliffhanger, they could have still had the movie take place months to a year later. Luke is back with Leia and training Rey, Finn is just waking from his coma. You can even have it that Finn is actually Force sensitive and be the fresh eyes to middle movie training. Hell, make Rose his nurse that fell for him while she was watching over him after hearing the stories of the First Order Stormtrooper that turned (think that's what they were trying for when they met).

Do all non whites make y'all uncomfortable or just black people? Why do we make y'all uncomfortable but at the same time desperate to appear like a "good" white? For the record, do YOU have a black friend?
