Iwas watching the 1979 WS. That was the year I had all then bones in my right leg rebroke and reset. I watched form a hospital bed in traction with my ass on a cold bedpan. But I got a sponge bath from THE hottest nurse on the planet. The whole "think about baseball" when you're getting a pup tent, it works. Sorry nut, I was pulling for Pittsburgh. I loved Kent Tekulve

my gramps was pals with one of the umps that worked that world series, Russ Goetz. he was one of the a.l. umps that wore the outside chest protector foam thing---and gave one of them to my gramps. i asked my gramps if i could have it and he said: i need it to protect me from your thoughts!

One of my favorite parts of Burns Baseball, the Brooks stuff. On a side note, someone had a thread about nicest athletes. There is no one nicer who is a Hall of Famer, than Brooks.
