Crazy, I know, but yes, I am looking forward to it. Once we all get over the idea that they're re-making this we'll all settle in and go see it and enjoy it. I mean when you think about it, a live action, photo real version of it, has to be amazing to look at. And Jon Favreau did knock it out of the park with the Jungle Book.

The only thing that really concerns me is the music.

I was. Up until Beyoncé and Seth Rogen joined the cast. Donald glover I was really excited for. He was hilarious as Troy on Community and thought it was perfect casting and same with James Earl jones coming back. The only thing I liked Beyoncé in was the Pink Panther remake because she was playing herself so she didn't have to "act". Seth Rogen plays the same characters in every movies he's in. If anything he's probably going to make Pumba annoying more than funny.

No.
That's the simple answer, though I chose the bottom option.
The only Disney live-action remake that I liked and think has a reason for existing is Cinderella, and that's mostly because (1) Lily James is so beautiful in it, (2) Cate Blanchett is so wicked in it, (3) the movie as a whole is so sweet, and (4) Kenneth Branagh is such a great director.
Besides that? I'm aghast that Disney has run out of ideas this much, and so blatantly bowed to the Golden Calf of box-office receipts.

I don't know. I'm intrigued, but the potential to f#$% this up is pretty strong. Casting Seth Rogan as Pumba is not a good start.

I'm up for it. I was surprised with Jungle Book. I think Favreau did an excellent job with it and I guess he is using the same technology with the Lion King. Bring it on.

Don't get me wrong, no one does a dick joke like he does, but Sausage Party should have been an automatic disqualifier from a part in this production.

No because the 1994 version is and always will be a classic. Studios shouldn't remake classic movies.

Not looking forward to it, but if it turns out to be a decent remake I'll check it out.

I guess I'll see once the trailer comes out. I like the director, but Seth Rogan seems like a strange choice to me.
I feel like Hollywood should only be remaking movies that need one. I'm really hoping for a sequel to Gone With The Wind, hopefully somebody gets it right this time.

I've been excited about it since I saw the Jungle Book.
It is a little annoying how they keep re-booting every classic movie, and The Lion King still feels like a recent release to me. More original movies would be nice, but most of their recent re-boots have been done very well. So yes, I am very excited.

Kinda sorta. They did a pretty good job with The Jungle Book (2016).
But, Seth Rogen as Pumba? Eh, sounds like a disaster in the making. I'm not really looking forward to hearing Pumba exclaiming that he was hit in the ball sack.

Zootopia and Moana have both come out in the last year.
