While it affects my love of the film in no shape or form, the fact that we're further away from 1985 than they were from 1955, places the film forever through a new prism of sorts.
As a child of the 80's, of course the leap from 50's to 80's seems light years difference than 1980's heading towards 2020's. Because I walked that Earth.

Like it but I am glad I saw Fright Night in a cinema instead. That movies ages better for me.
