I remember there was a short clip floating around of this showing Vader more aggressive against Kenobi and there was a lot of hype about it being so much better than the film duel itself. Didn't realize till now there was an entire clip of it. Obviously the main joke of the original duel is Kenobi doing a random spin in the middle of the fight. It's impressive, but it suffers from what the prequels duels often suffered from. Too long-winded. And for all the jokes about the spin Kenobi does, they added a couple of those in the duel itself, even from Vader like they're dance fighting.

The best is the idiots who this this version of the duel should be put into the film itself. It would be so out of place.

It's an amazing fan film achievement but it doesn't fit the cinematography or style of the 77 movie. It's a bit like Yoda jumping around and doing the twirly stuff.
It does indicate though that one day someone is going to totally re-edit and restage famous scenes from movies like this. Why stop here? Have a big brawl in the Mos Eisley cantina, have a Tusken Raider massacre....

It doesn't belong. Obi-Wan is on his last legs, merely creating diversion for Luke & co. to escape. Vader shot his wad in Rogue One, after coming out of hibernation on Mustafar. He eventually uses more Force powers, guile, & cunning against Luke rather than straight up circus style sabering.

I think we can also infer from his one-handed stance on Bespin that he’s not taking Luke too seriously as a true threat up to that point.

Sword play is probably the most juvenile art of a Jedi/Sith master. I'll admit it's taken me years to realize all that. Vader isn't jumping around like Yoda... because he neither has to nor his aged Robocop body likely has the ability. He's not going to live 800 years or whatever like Yoda, nor is he supernatural'ish like Palpatine who is entirely organic. lols SW deep talk is hilarious

As it is, it's just an interesting video.

Another thing is that David Prowse wasn't a fencer. He really wasn't built for sword-fighting. He didn't do the sword fight in TESB or ROTJ. He is 6'7 and Hamill is 5'7. Bob Anderson the fencer was 6'1.
So even if they put him on stilts, his arms are probably shorter than Prowse's.
The fan film is imagining Vader as some Force-possessed super dude, not a man with machine parts (or an old fossil). But it is still pretty cool.
There needs to be a Han Shoots Everybody fan film.
He kills Greedo, the bartender, and everyone else in there.
"That'll send Jabba a lesson! I'm a fucking psycho! Don't tell me to pay my debts!"
