Let's start this early. It's that important.
The winner gets fourth, right? Amirite? Surely?
Mourinho might also be happy with a draw.
1 - 2

Difficult game to call, I said the same before the Chelsea game, no result will surprise me. But City were rampant at OT, could have been 5-0 up by HT, but then City have been on the slide since and United have improved. Which makes this difficult to call.
I think United still have to play City, Spurs and Arsenal away. Realistically they'll need to win at least 2 of those 3 games to keep those top 4 hopes alive. A tall order. Perhaps they should have hired Sir Big Sam?

Jose has had to deal with important players getting injured all season, Pep with indifferent form. I can see Rashford, if he plays, scaring the sh1t out of the Citizens' defence. (First I've ever heard of that nickname. I thought they were the SkyBlues). It's all about team selection and I think Jose is a bit cleverer at that than Pep.
2-3 United

No Pogba, Mata, Rojo, Smalling, Jones and of course Ibrahimovich - but I think United will obviously give it a good old crack. The incentive of leapfrogging City into fourth will be enormous. But I can't see past City win. City 10/11 Utd 7/2 (in from 9/2 on Tuesday) Draw 13/5

Hopefully things go so bad for Jose that he tries to gouge Pep's eyes out again. 1-1

City: Bravo; Zabaleta, Kompany, Otamendi, Kolarov; Fernandinho, Touré; Sterling, De Bruyne, Sané; Aguero Subs: Cabellero, Sagna. Fernando, Navas, Gabriel Jesus, Garcia United: De Gea; Valencia, Bailly, Blind, Darmian; Herrera, Carrick, Fellaini; Martial, Rashford, Mkhitaryan Subs: Romero, Shaw, Fosu-Mensah. Tuanzebe, Young, Lingard, Rooney Ref : Martin Atkinson (2 Reds and 81 Yellows in 23 PL outings - that's 3.6 cards per game, including 1 clean sheet)
Preamble by Paul Doyle : "Hello. This Manchester derby is not what most people imagined it would be and, in a way, it is all the more intriguing for that. Back in August most folks thought that City and United would joust majestically for the Premier League title but instead here they are, squabbling over the right to crawl into next season’s Champions League. It’s an unsettling experience for Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho but victory today would at least offset some embarrassment for one of them. So which one, if any, will it be? Guardiola needs it more, wouldn’t you agree? Mourinho has already bagged the League Cup and could still add the Europa League, which, of course, comes with the significant bonus of an alternative route into the Champions League. Even if United’s standing in the Premier League table were to remain lowly, two trophies and a ticket back into the European big time would amount to a decent return from Mourinho’s first season at Old Trafford, especially in the light of ongoing injury woes. Guardiola, on the other hand, is certain to end the season without a trophy for the first time in his managerial career. If even a top four finish were to elude him, well, that would be a spectacular failure even though City have also had rotten luck with injuries. But if City were to give their neighbours a good spanking here and go on to finish in the top four, then much glee could be taken from today and a small measure of satisfaction could be extracted from the season as a whole. Actually, the style with which City have played on occasion can also be considered as a source of satisfaction, as well as a sign of progress. Thing is, of course, that style has regularly been undermined by ludicrous defending. So how do you reckon things will pan out today? The lineups will give us a strong clue to how each manager intends approaching the game. Then again, we already know Guardiola is going to go gungho. But how many risks will Mourinho be prepared to take in trying to exploit City’s cavalier defence? That, and other teasers, are what we are gathered here to find out."

Man of the Match, so far, for me is ref Martin Atkinson. He is letting a few things go and keeping the game flowing. Very aware. "Hey ref, did you see that. He kicked me !" "This is a Manchester Derby. WTF did you expect, Pussy ?"

Yes, Atko could keep his second PL clean sheet here, but I doubt it. His only one so far came back in August in the 1-1 draw between Everton and Spurs. Over 3.5 2nd half cards 6/5 Under 3.5 2nd half cards 8/13
