Coffee. The magic elixir of life. Two mugs get me going in the morning. One at lunch keeps me going. One mid-afternoon and one at dinner. This is the minimum number of mugs full every day.

I used to coffee every morning, and through much of the day when I was working. For the last few years, I have brewed a large mug of tea, each morning. I like Red Rose, and I steep it for 15 minutes, or so. I'm sure it's to the maximum strength.
I still like coffee, but I don't want to make it at home. My neighborhood deli is only 1/2 block away. I always get a large coffee from them on Sunday, along with a pastry. That's my treat, while I do the crossword puzzles in the Sunday paper. I'll occasionally get some during the week.

You bet I do. Every night I grind up whole bean coffee and set the timer on my coffee maker. When I get up in the morning its ready!

Nah, I hate the taste but oddly I do like the smell of it brewing for some strange reason.

Daily, morning, 4 cups by 7 AM, and that's it. Have to remember to turn the hot plate off before cup 4 or it tastes awful.
Use about 45 g, mix of dark and medium blend. Make sure to not use any that sticks hard to the side of the grinder container - that is what can make a whole pot bitter.

Yessir. I brew a cup every morning by grounding my beans (medium roast preferred) and then slow drip through the ChemEx. While working, I'd have an afternoon cup too, but that's using the garbage keurig machine at work. Since lockdown, I've been having a cup of coffee in the AM and then switching to tea for the remainder of the day.
A fresh-roasted cup of coffee, properly made and not over-brewed, is just delightful (make sure you bloom, blooming is key!!). People tend to go to starbucks or other chains, and their coffee is burned, not properly made, stale, etc. Most supermarkets nowadays can provide you with high-quality beans that they'll grind for you, or you can grind them yourself, and you can get a superior cup for a fraction of what it costs when you buy it at starbucks or one of these other chain places.

I took one sip of coffee back in the mid 90s by mistake i took the wrong cup and it tasted terrible. I have not had it since. I have a similar experience. I have a vague recollection of burning my tongue while trying to drink coffee as a child (probably younger than 10) and then for decades I wouldn't touch the stuff - not only in liquid form, but coffee-flavoured sweets as well. Then at some point in my 40s I decided to challenge my "childhood trauma", so to speak, and try coffee for the first time in my adult life. Now I drink it "socially" - after a group meal if everyone or nearly everyone has coffee, I do to. At home, even if I wanted to drink it I wouldn't be able to, as I don't even have the implements to make it.
