Here are mine. Many times I give good documentaries a 10/10, because I might not know the person, and can't think of criticisms, but I kinda wish I hadn't, since it makes searching a little more difficult. Too bad you can't filter only feature films, etc etc.. www.imdb.com/user/ur1182593/ratings?sort=your_rating,desc&ratingFilter=0&mode=detail&ref_=undefined&lastPosition=0 Tell me what you think? And if you have any recommendations?

I tend to avoid that stuff since documentaries tend to be more of the 'decent enough for a viewing' but don't leave any lasting impression on me. I would tend to use the 6/10 or less scoring for a very high percentage of these with a very high percentage being a 5/10 since it's okay enough for a viewing but ultimately has no re-watch value as the small amount I do like and could re-watch is generally going to get a 6/10 for me as the only exception to that rule of me is The Iceman Interviews which contain the 1992/2001/2003 interviews with him, which I gave a 7/10 as it's definitely my most re-watched documentary which are basically the three things at the following link listed under 'Self'... Richard Kuklinski ; basically it's one large file I got which contains all three interviews.
in fact, while I have seen some documentaries I am generally not in a rush to see more random ones because they generally don't have much re-watch appeal and that's my ultimate goal when watching movies in general is to find ones I want to re-watch here and there as the years pass.
basically when I rate a movie/TV show (and the like) I tend to rate it in relation to ALL I have seen. it makes the most sense this way otherwise your artificially inflating a movies etc score if you try to rate by genre etc which ultimately makes no sense as it's more accurate to rate in terms of all stuff you have seen since it accurately portrays how much you like something. because I think that's a problem with at least some people who rate stuff on IMDb as they use 7-8-9-10 scores a bit too often and it starts making it more difficult to see what they truly like a lot vs just another movie etc. because I don't know about everyone else but I tend to assume scores in the 7-8/10 range or higher should be reserved more for ones higher tier movies, not just some movie someone gives a 8/10 or something and then quickly forgets about it and moves onto the next movie which makes it more difficult for someone to see what the viewer truly likes quite a bit etc.
the only rare exception to that rule (as in rating movies/TV shows/videos games etc on how much I like them and the further they get away from that the lower the rating) for me might be a small amount of video games that I might rate a bit more on nostalgia than my interest in them to this day. because normally ill adjust my ratings (higher or lower) depending on my interest in something as I replay/re-watch it over the years. but there is only one video game that's a legit 10/10 for me to this day... Mafia (2002) (on PC) which I first played in about Aug 2002 when it was new and replayed here and there over the years since with my most recent replay on it's 16th anniversary in Aug 2018.
just make sure to select 'Restrict to Titles I've Seen' under 'Your Ratings' on the bottom area of that page before clicking 'Search'. I would assume 'Title Type' is where you can remove Documentaries from the search results

Generally, I give a documentary a 10/10 if the director's wife gave me good oral sex.
Kidding aside, if the subject matter becomes important, or is important, if it really touches my spirit, if it has some magic, it's 10/10. Usually, wildlife documentaries are the ones I like best. I suppose the most stunning and famous documentary right now is the one about Treadway, and that was fascinating, but honestly, the director inserted himself too much into the story, and cheapened it. I wouldn't have noticed it so much if it hadn't been for a TV special about Treadway that I saw prior to the documentary. The TV documentary was exceptional, mostly because the reporter was a reporter and didn't try to be part of the story.
Which is sad, because Herzog is a top notch director. He just made a mistake there.
The one documentary I gave 10/10 to was THE COMPANY OF WOLVES, which was mostly about the wolf family the humans got to know and live near, and how they became close to each other. It was very magical.

I would assume 'Title Type' is where you can remove Documentaries from the search results I must admit I've exaggerated a score, probably something new, or a movie that has such little votes (and usually a bad score) to give it a boost, but I try to revise and update.
If I don't like a documentary, I might give it a 5/10, which means I broke even, and didn't regret seeing it. I can't remember grading any documentaries anything lower, but then again, I'd probably just turn it off, because chances are it won't suddenly become great, as opposed to some movies that don't have the best starts.
Oh, and I knew about the "Restrict Titles", etc... but it would be nice if I could take someone else's ratings and arrange them by year, genre, etc... It's why I stopped rating individual shows - there would be too much, and it would be hard to distinguish when I'm searching for ratings to give others, or for myself.

mortsahlfanGood, it's more accurate/honest that way. because I NEVER raise or lower my scores in a attempt to raise or lower a movies average rating since it's not honest. because even movies I think are underrated or overrated I still give my honest score of it. I guess whether we agree here or not depends on some things... A 5/10 for me is average. which usually means it did not waste my time but it's not exactly something I would see again either. so in short... it tends to be watchable but forgettable. ultimately a Thumbs Down. but for something to stand out more in a negative way is 4/10 scores and less for me. so basically when I score something a 5/10 it's a middle-of-the-road/average in terms of my overall interest in it, which plays inline with usually being good enough not to have wasted my time, but at the same time is ultimately a Thumbs Down since I ultimately judge stuff based on whether I want to re-watch it or not and a 5/10 is ultimately a negative score in this regard. but as for your documentaries comment... I have seen some documentaries and I also can't remember rating any of those lower than a 5/10. although... a high percentage of them tend to be a 5/10 for me as only a small amount, if not a very small amount, are worth re-watching and barely any of them stand out for me. When you say 'individual shows', do you mean individual EPISODES? because I never bother with rating individual episodes either as I just rate the entire show as a whole. While ratings on IMDb etc can be nice to keep some info on, I tend to keep lists (on Letterboxd website) or text files (on my computer) of what stands out for me. I even try to keep a basic list/text file of everything I give a Thumbs Up to. but I mainly focus on the stuff I consider favorites.

Too bad you can't filter only feature films, etc etc. You can if you use Advanced Search. Further down the page you can restrict the search to just include titles you've rated and can then sort them by your rating.

Yes, I do use that feature, but it would be nice to be able to see others' lists and filter them.

You don't rate below 4/10? Have you really never seen a movie you think is awful?

And youve never given a 10* out of 7000+ titles. Then how do you know what a 10 looks like?

Its hard to comprehend that with a sample size that large. Its like having 7000 women infront of you and rating their looks. If you don't find a 10/10 in that many, its more likely there is atleast one 1 in there to your standard, than not. Statistically speaking.
