I do, but in my head. It is a very strange OCD thing. Its hard to comprehend that with a sample size that large. Its like having 7000 women infront of you and rating their looks. If you don't find a 10/10 in that many, its more likely there is atleast one 1 in there to your standard, than not. Statistically speaking. I just said that I do give 10/10's. I keep track of those in my head. People really have a hard time wrapping their mind around the OCD, because it is such a strange disorder. That means that there is something mental that is interrupting what should be a normal rational thought process. www.madeofmillions.com/articles/ocd-isnt-think?gclid=CjwKCAjwkPX0BRBKEiwA7THxiGRkPNTKqDmbnssll6X5d_qIzx1hy5ynfhSHnCEHgkvIK_QDd-Y7WxoCz-sQAvD_BwE

Oh I thought you meant you have a abstract idea of what a 10/10 movie would look like but haven't seen it yet.

You don't rate below 4/10? Have you really never seen a movie you think is awful? I try to be as generous as possible with films as it’s a hardworking medium for the creators. The closest I have ever come to truly despising a movie is with Hellraiser: Revelations and Home Alone 4, both of which I give a 3.5/10 to.

The closest I have ever come to truly despising a movie is with Hellraiser: Revelations. I am the one who has to sit through them and laziness, greed and incompetence is not going to be given a pass by me. That is not to say that there aren't movies that thought and effort are put into that I just hate every minute of for my own reasons. It feels dishonest for me to rate any other way. It is the job of professional critics to be more objective, not mine. There are movies that are actually made to rip people off. Those guys that make those terrible spoof movies for example. Meet the Spartans is one of the cheapest looking lazy pieces of garbage I have ever seen and the final 20 minutes of the movie is outtakes. The who point is to spoof a famous franchise and put the least amount of effort in as possible for the sole purpose of stealing people's money. Think of how many starving people in the world the budget of the awful lazy greedy moronic Transformers franchise could feed. Seriously, this franchises budget is 1 billion dollars and that garbage is what the money was spent on. It is borderline immoral. There are certain movies that the fact that they even exist offends me.

It’s hard for me to explain, but basically what I’m saying is that there was never a movie that pissed me to my core, at least not yet. Those spoof movies are also godawful but I kind of enjoy it for the bizarre quality in them, like how is it even possible that these were made?!

I am not only talking about the movies that piss me off, but movie that are just terrible. If a movie has a terrible screenplay and terrible directing doesn't that make it a terrible movie regardless if the "effort" put in? Some of these don't piss me off, but there is no denying they are terrible. Sometimes these things aren't do to laziness, but just a matter of everything going wrong when the movie was being made or a lot of people who just aren't talented. Based on The Disaster Artist, the director of The Room actually thought he was making a good movie. That doesn't change the fact that the movie he made is terrible.

Here are mine. Many times I give good documentaries a 10/10, because I might not know the person, and can't think of criticisms, but I kinda wish I hadn't, since it makes searching a little more difficult. Too bad you can't filter only feature films, etc etc.. www.imdb.com/user/ur1182593/ratings?sort=your_rating,desc&ratingFilter=0&mode=detail&ref_=undefined&lastPosition=0 Tell me what you think? And if you have any recommendations? i've rated over 1500 movies. Nice.. Do you have a Top 10?

I’m just saying that I’ve just never had a feeling about rating anything lower than a 4.

You can if you use Advanced Search. Further down the page you can restrict the search to just include titles you've rated and can then sort them by your rating. Yes, I do use that feature, but it would be nice to be able to see others' lists and filter them. Oh, OK, yes that would be handy.
