What's your fave food? What restaurants are you going to when lock down is over? I love Asian, and my fave restaurant in town is a little Japanese place with the best vegetable sushi. I also love Middle Eastern! Hummus, falafel, I can't get enough. If your looking for a way to get more veggies in your diet, ME and Asian is something to try including in your diet more. I know Morgana can probably add more than I can about the awesome things they do with veggies in the ME. We're having a big ME spread at work tonight, and I can't wait! Here's a random video about a place in NY I'd love to go to. Hi. A favourite dish of mine is called Baba Ghanouj. It's a dip, similar to hummus, but with eggplant. The eggplant is roasted in the oven whole until soft enough for you to remove the insides, then mash the eggplant with a fork, add olive oil, lemon juice, salt and mix together. That is the basic recipe. I like to add tomatoes to it and a little tahini with a pinch of cumin. Red or bell pepper, green coriander can also be added. Sprinkle with a little pomegranate, lpaprika or red pepper and parsley. You eat it with what we call Syrian bread which is similar to pita bread. One of my favourite ME dishes is actually a salad called Fattoush. It's ingredients, like Baba Ghanouj, can vary to taste, but the main ingredients are red radish, onion, parslane (if that isn't available you can use lettuce), tomatoes, cucumber, mint leaves. Everything is chopped and mixed in a dish. Separately, put some olive oil, lemon juice and sumac in a cup and keep aside. Don't add to the salad until just before serving, then just toss it in. Also you will need Lebanese flat bread, if available, if not then pita bread. Cut into small squares and fry or roast. These are also added just before serving. We don't mix in the bread with the salad but sprinkle on top, but others mix it in. It's up to you. Enjoy! I had Baba Ghanouj tonight! So good! fattoush sounds delicious! I don't recall having that, but will look for it!

The New Mexico Green Chile Cheeseburger. My favorite is from Laguna Burger in Albuquerque. Can't eat this too much, though. All that delicious salt and fat is not good for anyone in excess, but it makes a special occasion even more special. (Why are things that taste so good not good for you?) ![](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DuZjq2pX4AENbb_.jpg)

My favorite pizza is Papa Murphy's Bake-It-Yourself. They put the pizza together in the store then you bake it 20 minutes at home and eat it right out of the oven and don't even have to have pants on. ![](https://dollarsavershow.com/station/106/images/user_images/ec574fef.jpeg)

Mexican in general, but especially tacos, enchiladas, and fajitas--as long as they are served without cheese or sour cream--and preferably served with rice and refried or black beans. Chinese for most chicken dishes--not too spicy, please--and broccoli beef, if the broccoli's not overcooked and the beef is not utility-grade. I could make a meal out of chicken- or shrimp-fried rice. When we lived in an area where IHOP's were among our few decent restaurant options (I'm such a finicky gourmet, as I'm sure you can tell ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/tek3suwt5/laugh.gif) ), I used to love having what we called "Breakfast for Dinner"--e.g., scrambled eggs, turkey bacon or turkey sausage, and some kind of "fruity" pancakes, such as double-blueberry. Like most of the rest of you, I also adore pizza--providing the "cheese" topping is a vegan substitute ("cheeze"), such as Daiya mozzarella ("style"). My husband, also dairy-sensitive, prefers no "cheeze" at all, but to me, that's not pizza--it's just crust with tomato sauce. And no, I don't care for the white sauces, especially clam. Like Marilyn, I enjoy pineapple as a topping (hey, I'll take pineapple just about any time), but unlike Pep, I have no problem with pineapple and mushrooms on the same pizza ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/66chy60t5/wink.gif) --though preferably with ground beef on there, too. One thing I haven't made in a long time is pizza bagels. You just take half a bagel (regular or mini), coat it liberally with pre-made pizza sauce (my favorite brand is Contadina Pizza Squeeze), add the toppings of your choice (my two choices are usually Daiya pre-shredded mozzarella "style" and turkey pepperoni), and stick 'em in your toaster oven at 350 o for about 8-10 mins. (Probably less for mini-bagels, but I haven't tried to cook them that way.) If you prefer your bagels more chewy than crispy, try 'em in your microwave...but I don't remember how long they take. Guess you'll have to experiment. ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/m8f14k0ih/yes.gif) All-time favorite food: peanut butter ![](https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/81giE-GJwIL._SL1500_.jpg) I don't even like to think what I would do if I could no longer obtain it...or if I developed an allergy to it. And yes, I know there are healthier options...sunflower-seed butter, for one...but nothing else is quite like good ol' PB. However, I don't require that the peanut butter be spread on bread or crackers. I highly recommend PB as an alternative to dip, with baby carrots or celery sticks...or half a cored apple, with the cavity stuffed with peanut butter...YUMMMMM (studded with raisins or chocolate chips, it will turn from a snack to a simple but delicious dessert)... Well, you get the idea.
