mikef6 Technically a "bowtie" is a "costume" rather than a "prop" .. but seeing that it's Bogart... will let it go (this time ) Reminds me of the Great " loincloth: costume vs prop" debate !
Great trivia info about the tie too ! You are kind and generous and a true gentleman. To atone for my malaPROPism, and on a personal note, here is the use of a prop that, when I first saw it as a child of six or seven, was the first really shocking and unforgettable thing I had seen in a movie and it stuck with me and influenced my movie watching forever. The doctor lowers the lights and shows Frank Bigelow the glowing test tube that confirms that he has been fed luminous poison.

The Duke's Winchester 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine from Stagecoach. Yes, at the time the film is set, the rifle wasn't in existence.

mikef6 see what happens ? now we have the Ruby Slippers to contend with as well ! Perhaps the thread will do one of those fortuitous tangents but stay mostly on track. as they say "whudd-evva" !
I was traumatized by the feathered hat in Shadow on the Wall. Is the test-tube phobia why you didn't become a chemist ?

The doctor lowers the lights and shows Frank Bigelow the glowing test tube that confirms that he has been fed luminous poison. Whenever I see Frank Gerstle (at left above, making his film debut as Dr. MacDonald), I always remember him as the helicopter pilot who lowered Lucy Ricardo by cable onto the U.S.S. Constitution after she missed the boat. I'm afraid he scared her as much as he did Edmund O'Brien (and you!).

bravomailer I confess .. that image of the Falcon is of one of the copies you can buy ! We shall have to research the "is it from original mold or not ?" mystery. I have one on my bookshelf.

The Spoiler feature won’t work on my iPad so I’ll just say, “It really tied the room together.”

A man went looking for America. And couldn’t find it anywhere... There are a couple bikes purported to have been the one Fonda rode in Easy Rider.

mikef6 Technically a "bowtie" is a "costume" rather than a "prop" .. but seeing that it's Bogart... will let it go (this time ) Even more technically, I think it's an accessory rather than a costume. Except, maybe, for Chippendale dancers.
