We'll start with a few basic ones, then see how this goes and maybe come up with some tougher ones.
Which 3 Sox players had the most home runs, RBIs, and stolen bases in one season. There's one player for each answer.
One is very easy, one is pretty easy, and the other one might be tougher.
No cheating per favor.

HR - Ortiz RBI - Foxx
Leaving SB alone, we talked about this a few weeks ago.
None of the answers are Ted Williams or Carl Yastrzemski

HR - Papi
RBI Man Ram - Didn't he have like 165 one year, but that was probably with Cleveland.
SB - Someone I've never heard of.

The GoodMan got the right answers with Ortiz and Jimmie Foxx for home runs (54) and RBIs (175)
The stolen base one took a bit longer, but Frank got it with Jacoby Ellsbury (73)
I might have to ban GoodMan from answering too quickly on these Sox questions. He knows too much! He might have to wait a couple of hours before he answers. 😁

HR almost threw me. Foxx had 58, but that was in Philly. He had 50 in 1938, the year he had 175 RBI. That team had every regular hit over .290. Lots of men on base

Here's a good one that only the truly insane Sox fan would know, but it's still pretty bizarre.
In 1986, the Sox came ever so close to winning the World Series. They were a team loaded with good young pitching. Guys like Roger Clemens, Bruce Hurst, Oil Can Boyd, hell even Al Nipper made up a very impressive starting rotation.
So, with all of this rotation strength, who started the first game of the 1987 season for the Sox?
Anyone who gets this gets a major gold star......

Not Mr Seaver. Here's a hint that should give it away.... After the way the 1986 season ended for the Sox, this is the last guy you would expect to start the 1987 season, but there he was.

Not Bob Stanley or Calvin Schiraldi. God no Ding Ding Ding Ding! Score one for the GoodMan! Yes, believe it or not, Bob Stanley, the guy on the mound when the Bill Buckner play happened, started Opening Day 1987 for the Sox in Milwaukee (and got shelled of course) Oil Can was hurt, Clemens had held out that spring so wasn't ready yet, and the Sox were saving Bruce Hurst for the home opener later that week.
