No, MJ is 100% correct. All Jordan cared about was winning basketball games. He didn't believe in tanking in 86 to get a lottery pick. He wanted to go to the playoffs and face the greatest Celtics team in NBA history. He didn't believe you should be out with injuries if you didn't need to be.

It told you two things, Jordan didn't trust Jerry because he wanted to tank instead of win, and he would DO ANYTHING to play, even hurt coming off injury, and he didn't like Pippen choosing to miss part of the season due to injury.
