how many millions does this guy get paid? the field dimensions are the same---is his ego so fragile he needs 50,000 people to cheer him on? www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/dodgers-star-clayton-kershaw-voices-concern-about-mlbs-arizona-plan-i-dont-think-thats-doable/"But there is something about being in the big leagues and you can't compromise that. Playing in spring training stadiums and quarantining for months without your family and certain things like that, I don't think that's doable if you're talking about doing it for four to five months."You just lose the product on the field because guys aren't in their natural element. We're all ready to take drastic measures to make this season happen, but there's also certain things that will affect the product on the field, and that's what you have to be careful about."

He said it's a bad idea, which it is. these guys don't travel with their families as is...it's ok not to work as he's got mucho bucks in the bank. some rook or some guy who may only get to play for 1 year in the show---he's being hugely self-absorbed and selfish.

What’s selfish is expecting players to live in a sealed-off bubble for months purely so they can play a sterile version of a game for the entertainment of others. “They don’t see their families that much anyway, so what’s the difference?” They’re human beings, not ball-playing robots. I made the point in another thread that the lack of spectators in itself, in theory, wouldn’t bother me but everything else this plan entails does bother me. Under social distancing measures, this wouldn’t even be real baseball. What guarantees are there that infection won’t occur anyway? Players and staff are going to be tested every day? Seems to me that the whole plan is crazy and hardly worth the trouble. Just wait till the situation is manageable, then talk about bringing baseball back.

That being said Kershaw is a bit of a pussy.
